God Friended Me has a new co-showrunner. Deadline reports Robby Hull has been promoted co-showrunner for the CBS TV show’s season two.
The drama series centers on Miles (Brandon Micheal Hall), a podcaster whose life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from a user named “God.” The cast also includes Violett Beane, Suraj Sharma, Javicia Leslie, and Joe Morton.
Hull, who served as co-executive producer on season one of God Friended Me, will now serve as an executive producer and co-showrunner with creators/executive producers Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt.
The CBS series wrapped its first season on April 14th.

Just what we needed! Love the great characters & positive uplifting messages. About time to see some good clean quality family appropriate programming on network tv again while still dealing with relative issues we face everyday.

We really enjoyed this feel good show. Nice change from what is happening in the political climate in which we live in. Looking forward to season 2!
I was hooked from the very first episode. Due to my work schedule I have to tape the show to watch at another time. I missed some endings when I could watch the entire show due to sports bumping into prime time scheduling. With that as a handicap for the show’s audience I’m glad the show was picked up for season 2. The show is worth it.
I love the show. Looking forward to the second season.
I love God Friended Me. Finally a show that promotes kindness and helping others. We need more shows like this. So glad it is being renewed.
