TV show description:
A drama series set in New York City, God Friended Me revolves around a thoughtful and outspoken podcaster named Miles Finer (Hall). Miles is an atheist and that puts him at odds with his father, Reverend Arthur Finer (Morton), a beloved and longtime preacher at Harlem’s Trinity Church.
Miles’ life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from a user named “God”. He ignores and declines the request but it keeps coming back so, out of curiosity, he accepts and the mystery deepens as he digs deeper into his new friend’s account.
He’s led to Cara Bloom (Beane), an online journalist who’s been struggling with writer’s block. Intrigued by Miles’ story, Cara joins him in investigating friend suggestions from “God” and they end up helping others in need — while learning things about themselves.
Miles and Cara are aided by Ali Finer (Leslie), Miles’ supportive sister. She’s a doctoral psych student by day and a bartender by night. Also lending a hand is Rakesh Singh (Sharma), Miles’ best friend and a sometimes hacker who needs some help on the social side of his life.
Miles is convinced that the “God” account is an elaborate hoax and is devoted to uncovering the truth. In the meantime, he’s playing along and, in the process, seeing his life changed forever.

Miles is forced to examine his lack of faith more than ever before when the God Account sends him his sister, Ali, as a friend suggestion on the eve of her cancer surgery.

CBS I am so ashamed of you, this was one series that safely balanced our incorporated societies…I loved the show it was something my nine yr old and i loved watching together…it was a damn good show….in a time like this it gave people a little hope…sometimes that’s all we need.
This show ABSOLUTELY should NOT be canceled. I looked forward to Sunday nights because of God Friended Me. My husband loves it, too, and we are both bummed about this. Big mistake CBS.
This a good, wholesome show! There is no way it should be cancelled – so sad!
I will miss this show because it’s uplifting and spiritual and very entertaining.
Unfortunately these types of shows always get cancelled. i.e. uplifting, spiritual and entertaining. No flesh and profanity. It’s a recipe for cancellation. I will miss this show.

This is type of show that is needed especially now. CBS please reconsider God Friended Me! My brother and I enjoy trying to figure out what going to happen.

Love this show. Looked forward to it every Sunday. I think since it was always preempted with award shows and football it made it hard for people to get involved in it. It’s nice to have a show that’s not about killing. This is such a feel good program I’m going to miss it terribly. Hopefully another network will pick it up.
God Friended Me is an uplifting show with a positive message. Do you think we might need more of that right now, not less? I am one of millions of loyal viewers of this very well-done show and we need it to stay on the air! Please do not replace it with yet another cop show or silly comedy with no social benefit. Do the right thing CBS!
I was so disappointed to hear “God Friended Me” was cancelled. There are so few
decent programs on TV anymore; we certainly need this one. Hope CBS will reconsider and reinstate it!!!
I love this show! My 17 year old granddaughter and I watch it together. She loves it too! It’s one thing we enjoy doing together. I don’t watch any other shows. Otherwise I mainly watch the depressing news. PLEASE don’t cancel this show! We look forward to it every week. We are always disappointed when it is not on!
