TV show description:
A drama series set in New York City, God Friended Me revolves around a thoughtful and outspoken podcaster named Miles Finer (Hall). Miles is an atheist and that puts him at odds with his father, Reverend Arthur Finer (Morton), a beloved and longtime preacher at Harlem’s Trinity Church.
Miles’ life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from a user named “God”. He ignores and declines the request but it keeps coming back so, out of curiosity, he accepts and the mystery deepens as he digs deeper into his new friend’s account.
He’s led to Cara Bloom (Beane), an online journalist who’s been struggling with writer’s block. Intrigued by Miles’ story, Cara joins him in investigating friend suggestions from “God” and they end up helping others in need — while learning things about themselves.
Miles and Cara are aided by Ali Finer (Leslie), Miles’ supportive sister. She’s a doctoral psych student by day and a bartender by night. Also lending a hand is Rakesh Singh (Sharma), Miles’ best friend and a sometimes hacker who needs some help on the social side of his life.
Miles is convinced that the “God” account is an elaborate hoax and is devoted to uncovering the truth. In the meantime, he’s playing along and, in the process, seeing his life changed forever.

Miles is forced to examine his lack of faith more than ever before when the God Account sends him his sister, Ali, as a friend suggestion on the eve of her cancer surgery.

This is a great show.. a little hokey but great messages. It’s about time we get a show that is uplifting and light. Come on, man..don’t cancel this series .

I hope a smarter network picks up the show. It is a great show. The writers are creative and awesome.
So heartbroken to see “series finale” at the end of tonight’s show. It is like no other on television; it has clever scripting with well balanced doses of human frailty, hope, perseverance, reality and something to believe in to fulfill hope. It was a perfect time slot for me, but I would watch on any day. I HOPE (smile) that whoever sabotaged The God Account will have a change of heart.
My wife and I watch this show every time it is on. We always look forward to watch it weekly. Will miss it greatly if it gets cancelled. Please don’t.
I LOVE this show. Just enjoyed this week’s episode and am, now, in shock that the next one is the finale! I hope there are enough of us asking to have the show continue to change CBS’ decision. Pleas don’t end this wonderful show!

Who ever canceled our family’s favorite show ought to be fired from CBS!!!!! We loved this show and it should come back with a third season!!!!!! God Friended me is one of the best shows on tv and has a wonderful cast. A good cast deserves to be repeated!!!!

This is one of the nicest shows on television and it should not be canceled. Too many good stories and the talent is excellent.

God Friended me is an excellent show….at a time when the world needs this kind of program why would CBS canceled it.Think again .. and renew for a third season Please the world needs this show!!!

It was a very good show that we waited to see every week. Please reconsider as there are very few shows that make you feel good at the end. Good show for all age groups.
