TV show description:
A drama series set in New York City, God Friended Me revolves around a thoughtful and outspoken podcaster named Miles Finer (Hall). Miles is an atheist and that puts him at odds with his father, Reverend Arthur Finer (Morton), a beloved and longtime preacher at Harlem’s Trinity Church.
Miles’ life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from a user named “God”. He ignores and declines the request but it keeps coming back so, out of curiosity, he accepts and the mystery deepens as he digs deeper into his new friend’s account.
He’s led to Cara Bloom (Beane), an online journalist who’s been struggling with writer’s block. Intrigued by Miles’ story, Cara joins him in investigating friend suggestions from “God” and they end up helping others in need — while learning things about themselves.
Miles and Cara are aided by Ali Finer (Leslie), Miles’ supportive sister. She’s a doctoral psych student by day and a bartender by night. Also lending a hand is Rakesh Singh (Sharma), Miles’ best friend and a sometimes hacker who needs some help on the social side of his life.
Miles is convinced that the “God” account is an elaborate hoax and is devoted to uncovering the truth. In the meantime, he’s playing along and, in the process, seeing his life changed forever.

Miles is forced to examine his lack of faith more than ever before when the God Account sends him his sister, Ali, as a friend suggestion on the eve of her cancer surgery.

I am so upset to hear that God Friended Me is cancelled. The show is so refreshing and up lifting and different from all the shows that are going on TV right now.. Please don’t get rid of the show there is still so much to be said and done in the show.
UI love the show. While the premise seems far fetched the story lines are always ingesting. We don’t know one how The episode will end and I like the relationships of the charachters.
Please keep this show on, it is soo good. I am heartbroken. Why do all the really good shows get cancelled.
I love this series and the many talented actors. The scripts are uplifting, thought-provoking and comforting, showing difficult life situations that many of us confront! Please reconsider! God Friended Me needs to be continued more now than ever in the midst of this pandemic!
I cannot believe they canceled this show! It is so uplifting and good and real in terms of what people live through. CBS is making a big big mistake.
CBS has made a huge mistake cancelling God Friended Me. Especially during these dark times of the Corona Virus. We need something uplifting , positive, & life affirming. It is my favorite show. I look forward every Sunday to watch the most uplifting, life affirming, positive show, fun, show on air. I am heartbroken. I was so looking forward to the next season. This is a show of hope, while demonstrating the benefits of helping others, for no personal gain, is so very needed right now, especially during these stressful and uncertain times during the Corona Virus Pandemic. God Friended Me has been my favorite show since episode one. It’s smart, uplifting and inspiring. The way the “friend suggestions” lives intertwine throughout the episodes is brilliant. I hope that another network will pick it up.

I am seriously upset that God Friended Me has been cancelled . I think it is one of the best shows on TV. It is refreshing, enlightening and a feel good show that gives you hope of mankind. The show is much more entertaining than all the NCIS shows that only portray murder. Shame, Shame, Shame . I may have to stop watching CBS, if this is there concept of lasting entertainment.
How typical. You get a great show, great writing, great acting, great story…. and you cancel it. This is the only show left that was worth watching on CBS, so guess I’ll just drop CBS from my cable service. Hopefully, another station won’t be afraid to show an intelligent program and will pick it up.
No it should not be cancelled. This is the most life affirming positive show on network TV. It should have been on a prime time weekday slot.
Please keep this on , its well scripted and the actors are great. Please change your mind
I am so upset too…:( My family every Sunday night look forward of coming Together just so we can have Family time together and watch a Show we TRULY LOVE…Absolutely upset!!! My Family is VERY SADDEN to hear it was going to be canceled…We don’t understand why a show like this is canceled…it’s about Compassion…Trust…Faith…Family…Unity… I guess people rather see Drama…Crime…Super Sad!!!
