TV show description:
A drama series set in New York City, God Friended Me revolves around a thoughtful and outspoken podcaster named Miles Finer (Hall). Miles is an atheist and that puts him at odds with his father, Reverend Arthur Finer (Morton), a beloved and longtime preacher at Harlem’s Trinity Church.
Miles’ life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from a user named “God”. He ignores and declines the request but it keeps coming back so, out of curiosity, he accepts and the mystery deepens as he digs deeper into his new friend’s account.
He’s led to Cara Bloom (Beane), an online journalist who’s been struggling with writer’s block. Intrigued by Miles’ story, Cara joins him in investigating friend suggestions from “God” and they end up helping others in need — while learning things about themselves.
Miles and Cara are aided by Ali Finer (Leslie), Miles’ supportive sister. She’s a doctoral psych student by day and a bartender by night. Also lending a hand is Rakesh Singh (Sharma), Miles’ best friend and a sometimes hacker who needs some help on the social side of his life.
Miles is convinced that the “God” account is an elaborate hoax and is devoted to uncovering the truth. In the meantime, he’s playing along and, in the process, seeing his life changed forever.

Miles is forced to examine his lack of faith more than ever before when the God Account sends him his sister, Ali, as a friend suggestion on the eve of her cancer surgery.

What a SHAME to cancel the best show in forever, but so typical of CBS that I’m surprised in got 2 seasons! There’s hardly anything worth watching on CBS anymore and with this and Hawaii 50 gone I’ll be gone too.

Why canel a AWESOME show.. The ratings are good. The story line is so good as to think God is friending you. PLEASE DON’T CANCEL IT .Theres alot more stories to be told more people to meet and now miles sister going to battle Cancer , Its not right just to ended just like that . Please continue to make us happy just to be watching this show ..I LOVE THIS IT JUST MAKES ME CRY TO THINK ANOTHER OF MY FAVORITE SHOW CANCELLED AGAIN….
Tragically that this wonderful, artistic show has been cancelled. During this PANDEMIC, this show represents humans at its best, helping other people that need them. Please reconsider, the public is tired of crime shows. At this time in our society, we need this “feel good”. Please, allow the show an opportunity to further grow. PANDEMIC is here for a longer time than we expected, this is the type of show every family can watch and learn. Thank you for our consideration in rethinking cancellation.
This was one of my favorite shows, watched it every time. Will be sad to see it taken off, by I suppose the tv executives know what they’re doing, but doubt.

I am heartbroken about the cancellation of God Friended Me. I watch this show every week and truly believe with the COVID-19 pandemic and surrounding aftermath, we need shows like this type of show now more than ever before. Please reconsider. Our world is changing and we need God Friended Me!
Why on Earth would CBS cancel a show that is finally non violent, no foul language, no strong sexual content, and in general just a feel good kind of a show. The cast is very talented and enjoyable to watch as a team. My husband and I always look forward to watching this show and are genuinely disappointed that it’s being cancelled. It’s a shame that a show with so much wholesome goodness coming out of it has to be cancelled.
This sucks that cbs would cancel a show that shows compassion honesty and integrity something the way the world needs even if’s is a tv show I’m pissed. I’m canceling my cbs all access shows like this need to exist to show they have more power than they think to change lives all you have to do is take a leap of faith
God friended me was one of my favorite TV shows I cannot believe that they are taking it off the air ratings seemed to be OK I know so many people that watch it I don’t understand!!
