Despite a drop in the Nielsen ratings last year, Greenleaf remained a top-two performer for OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. Now that it’s back for a fourth season on a new night, can it draw in some new viewers, or at least woo back some old ones? Will Greenleaf be cancelled or renewed for season five? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
An OWN megachurch drama, Greenleaf season four stars Keith David, Lynn Whitfield, Lamman Rucker, Kim Hawthorne, Lovie Simone, Merle Dandridge, Desiree Ross, Deborah Joy Winans, Tye White, Rick Fox, Beau Bridges, and Oprah Winfrey. The story centers on the Greenleaf family and their Memphis congregation. In the fourth installment, the Greenleafs try to remain a united front against the threat of losing Calvary to Bob Whitmore (Bridges) and Harmony & Hope Ministries. They’re keeping secrets though, and those secrets threaten their bond.

What do you think? Do you like the Greenleaf TV series? Should this OWN TV show be cancelled or renewed for a fifth season?
*5/4/20 update: Greenleaf has been renewed for a fifth and final season.
Are you kidding me? This show is excellent! Please renew! All of the good shows ended in 2019. This on has to remain for at the minimum of two more years.
Please renew Greenleaf for another season. As a viewer, I’m hanging. Was the young man in black at the end of season 4 a devil, angel or real person? Will A J tell his mom the truth? Will Noah come back to Memphis and develop a relationship with his son? Will the Greenleafs regain the church? Was Sophia intimate Dante or leave in time? Will Grace be vindicated? She seems to be blamed for everybody’s problems. Will Keressa repent for her double standard living? When will Bishop and Lady May remarry? Can’t the family get it right and have a… Read more »
This show is excellent. The topics are real life drama and their faith is what will get them through all their issues
No, I love this show!!! It is sad we are so quick to cancel OUR SHOWS. Pretty soon it won’t be a black face on TV.
Renew it. Offer OWN on more streaming platforms because everybody is cutting the (cable) cord these days. It’s great that OWN is on Philo. I’d like to see Sling or Hulu.
The storyline for season 4, so far is not that explosive. I still watch only because of Oprah. Lynn Whitfield, and Keith David.
O I KNOW you changed your mind now!
Paying for the only black network that show certein show own love it but can’t afford canle to watch it. Oprah has all that money. And we pay for her channel
I LOVE THE SHOW, one of the best on TV….keep it on all year like General Hospital ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
RENEWED!!!!!
I absolutely love this show, and so does a couple of ladies I work with.
Keep the suspense coming.
I fell asleep, had rewatch, I think skipped sometime lines, so I was kinda lost. I hope it will get better, I miss paster skants.
I was waiting anxiously for Greenleaf to start and totally enjoyed the 1st episode of the new season. Keep the episodes coming. Thank you
Greenleaf is an exciting and thrilling tv program which depicts realistic fiction. The show reveals that first-families have serious ongoing problems too. I think Lynn Whitfield and Keith David do an awesome job of showing how a couple can weather the storms of life and still fight to hold their family and church together. Great show and hoping it will continue for a 5th season.
I would love to have the show be continued. It’s a very realistic representation of what actually goes on in entirely too many mega- churches today. Unfortunately, the story lines are so on point, it could just as easily be any church in the USA. I say let the show stay on the air.
I think Greenleaf is an excellent TV show. My family and I look forward to seeing it every week. We also record the program to ensure we dont miss it. Also, what’s up with only focusing on the 18_49 demographics?

I am watching all season long. Fantastic
I agree, I’m past the 18-49 group and I love the show…why are we as an older group of people often overlooked?
