Perhaps the world is beyond saving. ABC has cancelled its Kevin (Probably) Saves the World TV show — after just one season of 16 episodes. The defacto series finale aired in March.
An ABC dramedy, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World stars Jason Ritter, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Kimberly Hébert Gregory, Chloe East, J. August Richards, Dustin Ybarra, and India de Beaufort. The fantasy TV series centers on the formerly self-involved Kevin Finn (Ritter). As the last of the 36 righteous born into his generation, Kevin is told by his heavenly guide that he “power up” his soul by committing selfless acts of kindness, so he can locate and anoint the next 36 and (probably) save the world.
Kevin (Probably) Saves the World: A Look at the Ratings
The first season of Kevin (Probably) Saves the World averaging a 0.67 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.70 million viewers. In the end, those numbers were just too low for the network to order a second season.
In total, there were four single-season dramas on the Alphabet’s chopping block today: Marvel’s Inhumans, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, The Crossing, and Deception.
Variety has confirmed the Kevin (Probably) Saves the World cancellation.

Very upsetting that ABC has cancelled this show. I wish all the networks would stop canceling shows so quick. In my opinion, the networks are not giving these shows enough time to gain enough fans. I’m tired of getting involved in a show to have it cancelled after one season. Very frustrating and I’m losing interest in television all together.
This is exactly how I feel…… You get in to a GREAT Show and they cancel it. What’s the sense in watching anything if the networks are going to cancel and on to the next.

My wife and I both loved the show and didn’t miss it ! Time slot was poor to late but we didn’t miss it ! The cast was great , what a shame ! ABC didn’t know what they had ! Better lesson for the young people ! Better then machine-gunning a car to pieces , and they craw out and walk away, what did you just teach them ? There is a BIG PLACE ON TV FOR THIS ! I REALLY LOVED this show. I wish they would change their minds and bring this show back. I think rating would be better if it were aired at an earlier time…

This show was my favorite. What a shame that ABC is cancelling season two. It is a great disappointment to my family, as is ABC. No more ABC for us, and I’m hoping that another network picks it up.
BRING IT BACK PLEASE! My family’s favorite show. It’s creative, entertaining, uplifting and has an incredible cast. Please give this show another chance! It’s hard to find good family entertainment that is still exciting.
