Perhaps the world is beyond saving. ABC has cancelled its Kevin (Probably) Saves the World TV show — after just one season of 16 episodes. The defacto series finale aired in March.
An ABC dramedy, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World stars Jason Ritter, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Kimberly Hébert Gregory, Chloe East, J. August Richards, Dustin Ybarra, and India de Beaufort. The fantasy TV series centers on the formerly self-involved Kevin Finn (Ritter). As the last of the 36 righteous born into his generation, Kevin is told by his heavenly guide that he “power up” his soul by committing selfless acts of kindness, so he can locate and anoint the next 36 and (probably) save the world.
Kevin (Probably) Saves the World: A Look at the Ratings
The first season of Kevin (Probably) Saves the World averaging a 0.67 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.70 million viewers. In the end, those numbers were just too low for the network to order a second season.
In total, there were four single-season dramas on the Alphabet’s chopping block today: Marvel’s Inhumans, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, The Crossing, and Deception.
Variety has confirmed the Kevin (Probably) Saves the World cancellation.

This was one of my favorite shows. So sad it’s gone. With the world as it is today we really need shows like this one.
I’m so disappointed to hear this show has been cancelled. I loved this show right from the beginning and was so looking forward to the start of season 2. There is so much junk on TV. This show was so entertaining. Made me laugh, made me cry and kept me looking forward to what would happen next. ABC is continually disappointing me with their decisions..

I was so disappointed to find that Kevin probably saves the world was cancelled. Makes me wonder why all the good clean shows get cancelled and there are more shows with garbage for Content. Why can’t we have just a few good wholesome shows of people on the other side of the spectrum doing good instead of backbiting and hurting each other. Please save this show… Bring It Back… Someone else pick it up. Thank you
I was looking forward to watching season 2 this Fall. I love the quirkiness and genuine story told on every episode. Too, too bad.
They cancelled this but rolled out “The Proposal”?? I’m beginning to think that Kevin just gave up on mankind after hearing that. Hope someone else picks It up (ahem…Fox?? This would be a great show to follow Last Man Standing in your lineup!!).

Please save this show. It was a show that my 12 year old son and I enjoyed watching together. It was a show that truly reinforced how acts of kindness can help people and is not full of violence, sex, or self absorption like so many shows these days are.
Hope some other network picks this up!

this one is a very good show . well whriten & acted.. It is a real pity to cancel a show like this as it has not reached the point of the story of the 36 righteous .. Many open questions un anwered yet..

Definitely please save Kevin because he will probably save the world. Excellent show. Dump some reality shows, make room for Kevin.
Since this show was cancelled I have decided to cancel my cable.
Please, please give Kevin some more time to gain an audience. This is a terrific show supported by a great cast. Jason Ritter is perfect for this role. We love him! Do away with Bachelor and Survivor-they’ve had their time. Keep giving us something with a storyline, some humor and an uplifting message. This is what puts a smile on our faces as we head off to bed.

My whole family is very disappointed that KevinProbably Saves the World was cancelled. There are not many shows that everyone in my family all like. This was one of EVERYONES favorites. This was a very positive & funny shows on TV today. The writhing was brilliant & I loved ALL the cast, especially Kevin Ritter. Please do not cancel this series. There is so many more inspiring & funny stories that can be told. The entire world needs some inspiration & to laugh a little.

I’m soooooooooo disappointed that this show was cancelled. I love Jason and he was so good in this. He deserves his own show! Another spiritual, positive show bites the dust while negative, crime, violent shows thrive. Then we wonder why there’s an increase in shootings.
I agree totally, whenever there is a positive show on it gets cancelled, while all the negative crime shows flurrish. Too much violence in all media today.
Kevin probably saves the world was one of the first comedies in a very long time that I’ve truly enjoyed no I’m not in the typical demographics I’m 63 years old but Jason Ritter is so smart and witty he deserves this show and we do two instead of those stupid canned laughter type shows. Perhaps it was canceled because it was too intelligent
