Looks like Lucifer Morningstar isn’t quite a lucky devil any longer. His show’s ratings have fallen year after year and so, FOX has cancelled its Lucifer TV show. Sadly, fans of the supernatural crime drama won’t be seeing a fourth season this fall.
A FOX comedy-drama, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer, Scarlett Estevez, and Tom Welling. The supernatural procedural centers on Lucifer Morningstar (Ellis) who abandoned his throne, retired to Los Angeles, opened up a nightclub, and started helping LAPD Detective Chloe Decker (German) crack cases.
Lucifer: A Look at the Ratings
The third season of Lucifer is averaging a 0.83 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.30 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 20% and down by 10%, respectively. While those declines aren’t huge, the series has seen dips in its ratings each season and the series could easily have been cancelled before. Apparently, the ratings dipped just a bit too low.
Out of the scripted FOX TV shows we’re tracking, Lucifer ranks 13th in terms of its demo performance and rises to 10th place in terms of average total audience size.
Lucifer showrunner Joe Henderson broke the bad news this afternoon.
So… yeah. #Lucifer has been cancelled. And it fucking HURTS. I loved this show so damn much and everyone put their heart and soul into it. Heartbreaking doesn't begin to describe.

The defacto series finale airs Monday, May 14th.

I am in complete shock Fox has cancelled Lucifer. What were/are you guys at Fox thinking?????? My husband and I are completely addicted to this show. Tom Ellis is a great actor and quite comical in every episode of this show. We have never seen a show quite like this one. We need to know what next season brings now that Chloe has seen Lucy’s “devil face”. Please give us fans a season 4!
I loved the show Lucifer. It was my favorite show on tv. It was funny, it had action and an amazing cast of characters! I really hope another network picks this show up!!
I think they should have a season 4 if fox cancells it i will NEVER watch anything on Fox again I have never missed an episode since the very first one and to just take it away like that is wrong like I said if it gets cancelled my house will never watch Fox again I really hope someone else picks it up THANKS A LOT FOX YOU SUCK !!!
Well I guess Fox channel lost another veiwer which is myself. I’m very highly pissed off they cancel the one show I’m happy to watch and been waiting to watch every Monday night. I hate those reality TV shows so now I’m just going to not watch Fox channel nomore. Bye fox. #savelucifer !!!!!!!!!!
It’s to bad that they are canceling the show Lucifer. It was different and witty and not just more of the same. It needs to be picked up by some network
My husband and I never miss a showing of Lucifer. We have been watching every show and were looking forward to seeing the new season.

my wife and I just finished watching the season finale ( or as it turns out, the series finale!), and we are devastated to learn that we won’t be getting a season 4.
Lucifer had a very interesting premise, and the characters (especially Ellis) were extremely engaging. We are both strong Christians, but that didn’t interfere with our enjoyment of the stories or the “mythology” that the writers created.
Please, SOMEBODY pick up this fascinating drama!
