Looks like Lucifer Morningstar isn’t quite a lucky devil any longer. His show’s ratings have fallen year after year and so, FOX has cancelled its Lucifer TV show. Sadly, fans of the supernatural crime drama won’t be seeing a fourth season this fall.
A FOX comedy-drama, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer, Scarlett Estevez, and Tom Welling. The supernatural procedural centers on Lucifer Morningstar (Ellis) who abandoned his throne, retired to Los Angeles, opened up a nightclub, and started helping LAPD Detective Chloe Decker (German) crack cases.
Lucifer: A Look at the Ratings
The third season of Lucifer is averaging a 0.83 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.30 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 20% and down by 10%, respectively. While those declines aren’t huge, the series has seen dips in its ratings each season and the series could easily have been cancelled before. Apparently, the ratings dipped just a bit too low.
Out of the scripted FOX TV shows we’re tracking, Lucifer ranks 13th in terms of its demo performance and rises to 10th place in terms of average total audience size.
Lucifer showrunner Joe Henderson broke the bad news this afternoon.
So… yeah. #Lucifer has been cancelled. And it fucking HURTS. I loved this show so damn much and everyone put their heart and soul into it. Heartbreaking doesn't begin to describe.

The defacto series finale airs Monday, May 14th.

This is ridiculous! The only reason I watch Fox at all is for “Lucifer!” Great writing, acting, it’s both funny and makes you THINK……..What will replace it? Another idiotic doctor show, or worse, a REALITY show? Boy, Fox..you REALLY BLEW IT by cancelling this show. I’ll stick to Netflix, Hulu, and Brit Box from now on. And…all my friends and colleagues agree with me. You keep the Simpsons on for 20 years, and cancel “Lucifer”? Guess your want to become another boring network like ABC, CBS, and NBC. Lucifer is one of our family’s favorite show. Very different and equally entertaining. Please do not cancel this amazing show!!!
Loved this show. I especially liked the underlying theology. If we are lucky, maybe Netflix will revive it.
This show was incredibly good and should have not been canceled. The mediocre stupid TV shows keeps being renewed season after season, but the really good once get canceled.
Untrue to common belief Lucifer was not a Satanic show by the Million moms statement. It was a TV show that was very, very good . It needs to be revived or picked up by a network that recognizes real entertainment. I wish somebody had thought before they cancelled Lucifer. Very sad!!!! Call me. You have my email. It seems that the ONLY show I watched on FoxTV has been cancelled. Not sure what person was behind chopping down Lucifer, but they should loose their job for this decision. Hopefully, something like NetFlix or Hulu will pick it up and continue the story along! This is really the only show on Fox that had a super blend of characters, along with great writing!! This is one show that deserves a 4th season. If not at Fox, which I will not longer be watching, maybe one of the other services or cable channels will pick it up

I feel the same way…shocked that both Sleepy Hollow and now Lucifer are not given the chance to build an audience. As with all of the “fake news”, the so-called ratings don’t match my reality and the word-of-mouth positive opinions I hear .
Please consider Lucifer for a 4th season!! I love the show! It has a great backbone to build on. I hate to think what would replace the time slot…. oh no, another singing, talent, cooking, looking for a spouse competition… I might as well give up watching any tv.
Disappointed. Lucifer is the only show on my DVR that I keep and watch episodes more than once. This is a sad day. I truly like how the characters have matured. Why cancel the show just when all is working so well? Please reconsider this decision. I agree with Jacquie D. It may be time to give up on TV all together. Tired of my favorite shows being cancelled.

Yes it should be renewed! Omg! They’ve left the faithful viewers hanging with an awesome season finale that we’ll never know now what happens! It’s an awesome show and I’ve been hooked each season it’s gotten better! Please bring it back and at least let it answer the questions it’s left us hanging with!!!!!
They keep on cancelling good shows, I was looking forward every episode of Lucifer. His humor is so funny and I just hope they will pick it up again. #saveLucifer

Loved the show completely surprised they’re canceling it along with several other favorites if you are a fan of anything Supernatural what’s more CW because Fox is starting to cancel all of their good shows who knows maybe the CW will pick up Lucifer let’s keep our fingers crossed
