CBS is making a big swap to its Friday night line-up. The network is replacing tonight’s episodes of MacGyver and Magnum PI with a reairing of the interview special, Oprah with Meghan and Harry. Blue Bloods will be replaced by a rerun of Clarice.
The Sunday night airing of the special drew 17.8 million viewers. Through Monday, the special has been seen by more than 49.1 million viewers worldwide and continues to grow thanks to streaming and delayed viewing.
The next new episodes of MacGyver, Magnum PI, and Blue Bloods are expected to air March 26th. The network airs NCAA Basketball on March 19th.
What do you think? Did you watch the interview special when it originally aired on CBS? Do you plan to watch the special second airing tonight?
Nope I’m over all three of ‘em. I watch CBS because of Magnum…not these goobers.
I was absolutely not interested in someone else’s family issues. And on Friday I am still not interested. I usually watch CBS on Fridays. This Friday, not so much. The extra time will give me a chance to explore what else is out there.
No, I will not watch first or second run. Not interested in the “Royals.” There are a lot better shows on TV to watch.
If these shows are cancelled for this rerun. I will be rethinking using these tv stations. I pay for the privalage to view this station and not to watch this type show. I have enjoyed other shows that have been cancelled on this station it isnt a good thing u are doing and by the way how do you know the number of people watching this is real?
This is bullsh!t and inconsiderate to the viewers. How much of this crap do we need to see? To replace series that people look forward to with this page 6 soap opera, that’s been over-reported on all week, is nothing short of stupidity.
Bs… no one cares about those awful, privileged people.
This is nuts. It has already been beat to death by everyone and I enjoy watching my usual Friday lineup!
Why do we have to watch this crap for a second time ?
Once is to much of this interview.!!! Keep their life private. I understand that they must of agreed but I don’t understand why they did. Keep the royals business out of America keep it overseas. Didn’t like it interrupting our tv scheduling for the SECOND time or the first time. We don’t need to know anything about their private business.
I didnt watch the first one and wont watch this one. So upset with CBS to cut these shows out. Dumb move. I dont really care about Harry and MEghan does anyone?
this decision was poor and will further erode your viewership. Your programmers are out of touch.
I could care less about the royal whatevers; I wanted to see Blue Bloods.
So, CBS thinks that a rerun of the interview will generate the same 17.8 million viewers. 17.8 million people already saw this interview so why would they to need again? And would that toll even come close to cbs’s original Friday night lineup? But because its Oprah let’s re-air this garbage.
Did not watch the first time and have no interest in anything these cry babies have to say. She is an actress and is playing everybody.
Stupid stupid stupid. I didn’t watch it Sunday and won’t tonight either. Shame on CBS for taking away 3 of it’s best shows for garbage.
