The adventures of MacGyver will continue. CBS just announced they’ve renewed the TV show for a fourth season.
A reboot of the ’80s action drama, the series centers on Angus “Mac” MacGyver (Lucas Till), a 20-something adventurer who uses his vast scientific knowledge and extraordinary talent for unconventional problem solving to save the world. The cast also includes Tristin Mays, Justin Hires, and Meredith Eaton.
It’s hardly surprising CBS has renewed MacGyver. Although ratings have dropped around 15% since season two, the show’s third season is still averaging a decent .70 in the 18-49 demo and 6.137 million viewers.
Fans of MacGyver can also look forward to more Desi next season. Deadline reports star Levy Tran is expected to join season four as a series regular.

Yes, I am very happy show is returning. Amazing what he can do with a paper clip. When is it going to start and on what date and time? I see Magnum PI has fallen into the Friday night line up (I like that show as well).
I love the MacGyver show and was really disappointed not to see it in the 2019 fall line up.
We LOVE this show! It’s one of the few shows on today that is truly CLEAN and appropriate for ALL members of our family. My 13yo son lives to watch it every Friday.

I love this show and all of the cast especially Mac and Jack, whom I hope you will bring back. I really miss their chemistry together and the actress who is his partner now is also awesome. You have a well put together cast and the show is well written, directed and full of action and drama.
Love the show! Watched with some uncertainty but, new MacGyver has one me over. Still love old MacGyver, too.
