Does Elizabeth McCord still have it all in control during the fourth season of the Madam Secretary TV show on CBS? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Madam Secretary is cancelled or renewed for season five. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. A CBS political thriller, Madam Secretary stars Téa Leoni, Tim Daly, Bebe Neuwirth, Željko Ivanek, Keith Carradine, Sebastian Arcelus, Patina Miller, Geoffrey Arend, Erich Bergen, Kathrine Herzer, Wallis Currie-Wood, and Evan Roe. The drama follows the shrewd, determined Elizabeth McCord (Leoni). As U.S. Secretary of State, she battles office politics, while driving diplomacy and negotiating global deals.
Elizabeth was once a CIA analyst, who exited that post for ethical reasons. She later returned to public life, at the request of President Conrad Dalton (Carradine). He values her apolitical leanings, knowledge of the Middle East, flair for languages, and unconventional thinking. Elizabeth is married to Henry (Daly), a former theology professor who is now an intelligence operative. Together, they’re bringing up three children, which can really test her diplomatic skills.

We like the show. Love the chemistry between Tea & Tim and the interaction in the family. Like most of the rest of the cast. Good stories. Hope it gets renewed
I originally thought this show was going to be similar ( similar, not the same) to the unfortunately short-lived ‘State of Affairs’ (starring Katherine Heigl). Sadly, for my tastes, it became a little too washed out, bland to the point of feeling boringly unrealistic; that’s the slightly more exciting episodes such as Season 4, Episode 22, the other stuff makes it seem like our country is being run by the Mickey Mouse Club. Personally, I like the main (government) cast, Tea Leoni, Keith Carradine and Zeljko Ivanek; I miss Bebe Neuwirth, I felt her character’s more adult sort of problems… Read more »
The Madam Secretary is very well written show…. please renew it…. I will be watching the show tonigh and I watch the show on friday… see many people are not aware as sometime you expect the show on sunday than you find out its on friday … the programing is off and the result who watch it is absolutely wrong..people wish to watch it… help us the viewers thank you
this is a absolutely good show and I wish you would renew it … Story and casts are wonderful and it bring to us what is happening in world… which we know is now in sad chaos thank you

This is easily one of the best shows on tv. My husband cant stay awake for many of the shows that I watch throughout the week and he always stays up for Madam Secretary. We Love this show. Please DO NOT cancel.

Madam Secretary is the best written show on network tv. The cast is amazing and their chemistry gets better with each season. Now if CBS would realize what a gem they have on their hands and give the fans what they want – RENEW THIS SHOW IN A BETTER TIME SLOT!
Best show on tv! Thing is…I cut the cable, but I get CBS All Access and watch MadSec live via internet tv. IDK if this is tracked for ratings, and I know a lot of people who watch internet tv.
Also, CBS Sunday night sports programming seriously screws up Sunday night tv viewership. I am a night owl and stay up late; most people cannot. If CBS schedules MadSec earlier or changes the night, I think it would help A LOT.
