Is Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD coming to an end? Recently, co-showrunners Maurisa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon spoke with TVLine about the future of the ABC TV show.
Part of the Marvel Comics universe, the drama centers on Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his team as they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. The cast also includes Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, and Elizabeth Henstridge.
At a recent celebration for Agents of SHIELD‘s 100th episode, co-showrunner Jed Whedon told TVLine they are writing the season five finale as a series finale just in case ABC does not renew the show:
Yeah, we’re ready for if this is the end. We’re definitely going to make it rewarding either way.”
He added:
We can certainly pivot and there are certain things that we’re putting in that at the last minute could be adjusted. But we know at the end we’re not moving off that mark. We’re going to do what we were planning to do, and I think that it’ll be thrilling either way.”
Season five of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD returns this Friday, March 2nd, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

I would love to see a season 6, especially if the Inhumans could somehow be incorporated into the Agents of SHIELD storyline. I was sad to see that show end.

Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. deserves a 6th Season just as Marvel’s Inhumans deserves a 2nd Season there’s so much more to show and tell from the MCU especially bring back Marvel’s Agent Carter for a 3rd Season do it make it happen that another Network Television Station as if ABC chooses to NOT renew but please continue looking for then another Network Television Station or a Streaming Network like Netflix or Hulu or Amazon!
It’s time. Shows don’t have to go on forever. Five seasons is a lot. They had a good run. Do you all want it to go on until it’s unwatchable? Better to leave on a high note than to drag on forever like Once Upon a Time.

It’s time. I struggle to make it through an episode now, but I can’t bring myself to drop it because I’ve been watching since the beginning.
A great show. Season 5 is the best season yet in my opinion. Would be a shame to cancel it.
I think the show has some steam left in it for another season. Inhumans proved that it’s not that easy.

I am a agents of shield fan and I actually like the show and I know my friend marverick and his family also like it for that I would think that agents of shield deserves season 6
Luv this series, it great fun-creative-action filled. Wonderful cast, would hate to see it go. Hard to find syfy of this caliber!
