Monopoly Millionaires’ Club has gone bankrupt. According to Broadcasting & Cable, the syndicated game show will not be renewed for a third season and has been effectively cancelled.
The last episode will air during the weekend of April 30th.
Hosted by Billy Gardelll, the lottery game show features contestants playing a series of games based on the popular Hasbro board game Monopoly. The series debuted in March 2015, with an hour-long program that was later cut down to a half hour in the second season.
A few weeks ago, Buzzer Blog reported that the syndicated series could be moving to a daily format. However, Scientific Games (who produce the show) has decided not to renew it. It seems the show’s demise is linked to the popularity and bigger gains from other lotteries like Powerball and Mega Millions.
A spokesperson from the show said Monopoly Millionaires’ Club “minted more millionaires in a shorter period of time than any other game show in history.”
What do you think? Do you watch Monopoly Millionaires’ Club? Would you have watched a third season?
i am very upset that this show was cancelled….it was something i looked forward to on sunday nights. i would hope that you might reconsider a third season.
How are you going to cancel this show and still be airing episodes of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? I mean how many different hosts have they gone through by now? I can’t believe anybody even watches it anymore, Monopoly Millionaires Club was something to look forward to on a Sunday, it actually made me look forward to my weekend but now it is sad, for it has been cancelled, well I know they had two seasons so maybe they will air old episodes that I would love to watch as a happy medium; )
both seasons are on YouTube, that is how I watched it(No New episodes)
I wish you would cancel some of the other shows that
are not as exciting as Monopoly Millionaires Club. I never
would have bought a Monopoly lottery ticket had it not been
for the show. I don’t think this was a good decision.
I was saddened to hear that the show was cancelled, I really enjoyed it.
It seemed to have all of the ingredients that made it appealing to me, perfect host, wonderful hostesses, along great participants! I always looked forward to the show and it was a perfect way to unwind after a trying work week! I’m sorry to see it go!

I thought it was a little strange that last weekend it showed an episode of Family Feud instead of Monopoly Millionaires Club, and then I didn’t see any upcoming episodes. Now I know why. How this show could go bankrupt is beyond me. I wonder what they will do with all of those lottery tickets now, especially if someone wins the chance to be on the show
yes i woulded
I’m going to miss the show. I really looked forward to it on Sunday night.
Great show will miss it, never missed an episode. Another good fame show like Deal or No Deal gone by the wayside.
I loved the show and made sure I watched every Sunday night. I am really disappointed that it’s not coming back. Just like Deal or No Deal another game show that was terrific and gone by the wayside.
Will there be any new episodes/ drawing before they canceled the show in May??? I didn’t realize it was canceled and i have been entering tickets like crazy! i hope it was not a wast! Im hoping there will be at least one more drawing :(….
I’m very disappointed! I love this game show and Billy Gardell is fantastic as host! This is a big mistake!! Its a unique show, no other game like it! Hope you will reconsider!
I enjoyed the game very much Sorry to see it gone
Love this game show. Sorry to see it go and yes my husband and I would have watched over and over again. Good entertainment. To bad it couldn’t change something to keep it going.
Bankrupt, wow really? Great show. Should try to get sponsors and re-write without using lottery theme. I think it could have been a great competitor to TPIR.
I’m sad to see it go. I loved it when it was a 30 minute show, but KBCW stopped airing the show, so I had to watch it on KION Monterey instead.
