The game is still afoot! Ovation just announced Murdoch Mysteries has been renewed for a 14th season.
The mystery drama, which airs on CBC in Canada, centers on William Murdoch (Yannick Bisson), an innovative Toronto detective who uses radical forensic techniques like fingerprinting and ultraviolet light to solve a range of gruesome murders in the late 1890s and early 1900s. The cast also includes Hélène Joy, Thomas Craig, Jonny Harris, Lachlan Murdoch, and Daniel Maslany.
Neither CBCnor Ovationhave announced a premiere date for season 14 of Murdoch Mysteries yet, but you can see the renewal announcement below:

As a Canadian living in the US for the past 20 years, watching Murdoch is like listening to The Tragically Hip. The talent starts with the writing and goes all the way through every show, and as you watch there is always a bit of Canadiana that comes out to remind you of your roots. Personally the best part of the show has been the celebrity guest appearances such as Nick Tesla, Edison, A few US presidents a few prime ministers. I live in Denver and have loved this series and am thrilled to hear it will continue for a 14th season. I am not as thrilled with the darker lighting in the series,but I will watch it with great enthusiasm.
A neighbor turned me on to this show years ago. I fell in love with it. It’s well written with great storylines and a fantastic cast of characters.

I have watched this series from the beginning… I so enjoy this show…. I am a fan of Yannick Bisson and have seen him in other shows such as Aurora Teagarden Mysteries… My favorite, Sue Thomas FB.Eye… I wish that series would come back around… Anyway… I am so looking forward to season 14…YAY…. Can’t wait… All the characters on this series are great well with the exception of a couple…and some of the things that occur are a little out there…but in general it’s an awesome time spent watching… p.s.
