Nashville wrapped its run with its series finale on ABC this week, but Lionsgate TV has not given up on the cancelled drama. In fact, Lionsgate is promising loyal fans of the series that they will see a fifth season – even if it isn’t on ABC.
Deadline reported that the Lionsgate is still fighting to find a new home for the series, and that was made clear with a tweet sent out last night.
#Nashies What a cliffhanger! But we won’t leave you hanging. There’s more story to be told. #BringBackNashville

In addition to the tweet sent out by Lionsgate TV, the studio spoke about the Nashville situation in a call with the press on Thursday morning. Variety reported that four or five outlets have expressed interest in picking up Nashville for season five.
The creator behind the series, Callie Khouri, still wants more time too. She said the following, according to Deadline:
“Nashville fans are the absolute best, and support for the #BringBackNashville campaign has been amazing. We are so grateful for our extremely loyal following. We have stories left to tell and songs left to sing.”
Fans have been fighting to have the series saved on social media. A petition has also seen over 100,000 signatures.
Last night’s finale did leave the door open with a cliffhanger while wrapping up some of the other stories on the series. Fans will have to wait and see if another network or service decides to pick up Nashville.

Bring Nashville back
I love this show
ABC had a great series going. Why they decided to cancel it is beyond me. I have been in the live entertainment business for over 45 years and it gives me the warm and fuzzies seeing how the show runners try to keep it as real as possible. I know there is added drama tossed in. What would have been nice to see and can still be is going a bit beyond the main characters and go for the back story. That is showing more of the road crews sound and light techs and the hopefully the UNION stagehands and… Read more »
I would watch Nashville anywhere anytime. Please please continue the series!
Please keep Nashville going. We will follow on any network
Keep Nashville on!!!!!!!!!!
Really enjoy Nashville. It’s a very unique series with incredible talent. Truly hope we see more seasons, this coming from a Memphis guy that doesn’t even listen to country music outside of this show 😉
Then get the negotiations finished so people who like the show know where they can watch it. Don’t just talk.
I can’t believe ABC is canceling Nashville every time I invest my time in shows on ABC they cancel them. I will never watch another series on ABC. Please let another station pick them up.
I love this show! The music is great as are the characters.
I never was a big fan of country music until “Nashville”. I began watching it on a whim & now I am a huge fan. Disappointed it was cancelled.
Please, Please, I beg of you do not cancel this wonderful program. It is so much more than most of the trash on TV i.e. Bachlorette,The View, etc.
Great show! We love it!! Please bring it back! Thank you
I love Nashville and have not missed any show and am very disappointed ABC canceled this show and that makes ABC a channel I will see last!! Hiopoefully it will be picked up by any channel,Please!!
So upset to hear that Nashville was cancelled! Please bring back another! I will watch it no matter what channel its. I think the story of Will may have been part of the problem. People in the South aren’t going for the gay storyline and that may have turned people off to watching it! My favorites on the show are Scarlett and Gunner. Please don’t end this show!! It’s been soooo entertaining!! SAVE NASHVILLE!!!!
