The NCIS franchise has been very successful for CBS. The original show is in its 19th season and NCIS: Los Angeles is in its 13th year. NCIS: New Orleans had the shortest run of the series and still ran for a respectable seven seasons. Will NCIS: Hawai’i also have a long life? Will it be cancelled or renewed for season two? A procedural drama, the NCIS: Hawai’i TV series stars Vanessa Lachey, Yasmine Al-Bustami, Jason Antoon, Noah Mills, Tori Anderson, Kian Talan, and Alex Tarrant. Jane Tennant (Lachey) is the first female Special Agent in Charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor. She has thrived and risen through the ranks by equal parts confidence and strategy in a system that has pushed back on her every step of the way. Her unwavering team of specialists includes junior field agent Lucy Tara (Al-Bustami); cyber intelligence specialist Ernie Malik (Antoon); second-in-command Jesse Boone (Mills); Defense Intelligence Agency Special Agent Kate Whistler (Anderson); and Kai Holman (Tarrant), a new NCIS agent. Tennant and her team balance duty to family and country while investigating high-stakes crimes involving military personnel, national security, and the mysteries of the island paradise itself.

Loved the show at first season. However, as with the trend now, it’s getting into too much personal “life” of the characters. And to make it even more difficult to watch, the lover’s sexual issues that two women have. These are bad distractions for a good show. Just NOT needed.
NCIS Hawaii was not good from the start. Vanessa was never believable as an agent in charge. No credibility whatsoever. So many better actresses to choose from. That being said…. I do watch occasionally because I love Hawaii and long to see some locations I have visited. On another note…. The episode that has Ernie getting hurst while doing burpees was especially personal to me. He was using a “theracane” to help his soreness. I enjoy the location in Hawaii and it should be a good show. I agree with others the lead actress is terrible, not a good actress. She acts like a law enforcement agent about as well as my big toe. I a female is needed, then hire Grace Park from Hawaii Five O. She is oriental and a good actress. Oh, why not bring back the main actor in Hawaii Five O, Steve Mc Garrett to be the lead of the show. All is all it is a bad show.
