TV show description:
This crime drama follows a presumed dead former-CIA agent named John Reese (Jim Caviezel) who teams up with a mysterious billionaire, Mr. Finch (Michael Emerson), who’s also believed to be dead. Their goal is to prevent violent crimes by using technology and their own brand of vigilante justice.
Finch is a software genius who has invented a program that uses pattern recognition to identify people who are about to be involved in violent crimes — either the victim or the perpetrator. It was originally built for the government to prevent another 9/11 disaster but found that it was predicting less catastrophic, “irrelevant” crimes. Finch built a “backdoor” into the machine so that, before erasing the “irrelevant” data each night, Finch is sent the social security number of a person about to be involved in a serious crime.
Finch recruits Reese because of his special training in covert operations. Using their combined skills, resources and advanced surveillance technology, they work outside of the law to identify “persons of interest” and stop crimes before they occur.
Reese’s actions draw the attention of the NYPD — including homicide detectives Carter (Taraji P. Henson) and Fusco (Kevin Chapman). The latter is a corrupt cop and Reese blackmails him into being a source of information inside the department.
With infinite crimes to investigate, Reese and Finch find that locating the right person, with the right information, at the right time, can change everything.
Episode #103 — Return 0
Finch, Reese, Fusco and Shaw embark on one last mission to prevent Samaritan from destroying The Machine and cementing its hold over mankind.
First aired: June 21, 2016.
What do you think? Do you like the Person of Interest TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a sixth season?

Person Of Interest is too great of a show to be cancelled. There are so many robot plots on the air these days, that this one, well written, entertaining and socially redeeming program is far superior than any of the top 5 shows put together. It needs to stay on the air and continue to bring us episodes that continue to show that there is someone/something out there that can keep those untrustworthy people in check.
I really like this show, mostly because they acknowledge that everyone is relevant, and help them. It’s one of the only shows I watch consistently. It deserves to continue. It deserves, at least another season. And killing the good guys off is heart-wrenching. If the show must end don’t kill any more good guys off. Surely the writers can be more creative than that.
I would love it if Samaritan turns on Decima and its leader, similar to Frankenstein and the Creature
Ur taking all the great shows off. An the clips of the new 1s. ..I will have 2 find a new. Channel 2 watch!!!!!!
This show is sooo good that I can’t believe you’re cancelling it! What’s wrong with you…why don’t you cancel some of the really bad shows and leave the good ones alone!
Please don’t cancel this show. It’s one of the best written shows on TV. I hear that they’re bringing some of the dumbest shows back, like Big Brother…..really? no intelligence in that show, no plot, no purpose, but you’re going to cancel a show that actually has the viewers thinking and contemplating
If I’ve learned nothing else over my decades of life, it is that TV usually caters to the lowest common denominator among the viewing audience. If there’s some small semblance of intelligence, AND the show is not a BIG hit with fans immediately, then kill it. Does anyone remember the series The Paper Chase based on the movie of the same name starring John Houseman? Critically acclaimed and then killed. David Lynch’s Twin Peaks – short run. Joss Whedon’s Firefly? Fox paid for 14 episodes then proceeded to air them erratically and out of sequence. FOX guaranteed failure…but it WAS… Read more »
Love this show. Of everyhing on air right now, this is my top watchable
This is the only Show/Program I watch. The best that has been presented in a long time.
I totally agree with you. I feel that it is a mistake to let this show be cancelled plus they will loose all of this great talent. I am upset by all of this including the fact that in the show we lost 2 great people. I want them all to stay and continue.
Check out The Blacklist. Great writing, good acting, and James Spader is phenomenal!
Yes, I do watch the Blacklist also. But I must say that I get even more excited watching the Person of Interest.
This has been a joy to watch. Can’t remotely understand why it has been canceled! We watched every episode!
Love this show don’t cancel
I love this show! it is the only program on TV that I watch consistently every week!
Another GREAT show on CBS – I don’t understand reason for cancelling –
please do not canceled this program love this show lots of action never know what is going to happen one of the best shows on tv
i loved this show dont understand why it was cancelled. lots of action kept you wndering whats next better than a lot of other shows please reconsider dont cancel this show
Was a great show. Haven’t a clue why they would cancel. Probably some big wig who doesn’t like one of the stars.
I LOVE this show, and am sorry to see it cancelled. However, I preferred it more when it was a “simple” crime drama. Once they introduced “Samaratin” things got convoluted and far more fictionalized than before. But that cat is out of the bag and won’t go back in. And, frankly, I still dislike the “root” character completely. Why do writers keep trying to fix what ain’t broke?
You had a great show – why would you cancel it? Please, please keep it going.
