TV show description:
This crime drama follows a presumed dead former-CIA agent named John Reese (Jim Caviezel) who teams up with a mysterious billionaire, Mr. Finch (Michael Emerson), who’s also believed to be dead. Their goal is to prevent violent crimes by using technology and their own brand of vigilante justice.
Finch is a software genius who has invented a program that uses pattern recognition to identify people who are about to be involved in violent crimes — either the victim or the perpetrator. It was originally built for the government to prevent another 9/11 disaster but found that it was predicting less catastrophic, “irrelevant” crimes. Finch built a “backdoor” into the machine so that, before erasing the “irrelevant” data each night, Finch is sent the social security number of a person about to be involved in a serious crime.
Finch recruits Reese because of his special training in covert operations. Using their combined skills, resources and advanced surveillance technology, they work outside of the law to identify “persons of interest” and stop crimes before they occur.
Reese’s actions draw the attention of the NYPD — including homicide detectives Carter (Taraji P. Henson) and Fusco (Kevin Chapman). The latter is a corrupt cop and Reese blackmails him into being a source of information inside the department.
With infinite crimes to investigate, Reese and Finch find that locating the right person, with the right information, at the right time, can change everything.
Episode #103 — Return 0
Finch, Reese, Fusco and Shaw embark on one last mission to prevent Samaritan from destroying The Machine and cementing its hold over mankind.
First aired: June 21, 2016.
What do you think? Do you like the Person of Interest TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a sixth season?

It should be renewed for season 6.
cbs bunch of jerks, think twice about watching another series, like tearing out late pages of a book
my husband and I both love person of interest! PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!
Was a good show until they stayed on the “Samaritan” kick too long. A backstory shouldn’t take over a show, give it 4-6 episodes then move on to the original premise of the show. I loved it when they were identifying Perps of victims and was acting on that. Guess the writers couldn’t come up with a good story for each episode and virtually killed the show with the Samaritan. Lost all interest and was not unhappy to see it go.
I am so disappointed to see this show cancelled, the story line and characters are interesting. I am in my late 60s and find many of the shows I care for have been dumped. Most of the new shows can’t hold a candle to the ones being cancelled.
My husband and I were very disappointed that P of I did not return to the CBS schedule. It had a different plot than the regular police drama. Too many spin offs for my taste. Bring the show back, please.
All of you who want to keep Person of Interest on television, please write to CBS Executives. We might be able to change their minds!!!! Here is the link. http://www.cbs.com/feedback/
That really sucks that Person of Interest has been cancelled! Those Executives at CBS have NO flipping idea what they’re doing! Week by week the show gained thousands – even millions of viewers and then they decided to change the writing of the show, and it got a bit ridiculous with the story line. When writers change the format of successful shows like that, eventually they take a wrong turn, hence what happened to the show! It is truly one of the very BEST shows on TV. CBS needs to listen to the “millions” who use to watch the show.… Read more »
I enjoy Person of Interest, since CBS doesn’t want to keep it maybe one of the alternate channels could pick it up.
It is hard to believe that good shows like POI, Covert Affairs and yes, even Alias are cancelled without surveying the loyal viewers. POI and Covert Affairs were excellent shows with good actors and actresses. I hope they are brought back before their acting teams disperse into other venues. I will buy the entire Dvd Series.
I am gutted that I’ve bought tge DVDs, would never have gotten so enthralled by it
at 60 years old I still don’t understand why they cancel good shows and leave garbage on! Don’t cancel POI!
I enjoy Person of Interest and detest the vapid reality shows and situation comedies that seem to multiply like rabbits. Many shows with substance seem to get replaced by either hideously sadistic shows about torture and mayhem or social commentary that is a real turnoff. Leave us some good entertainment and intellectual stimulation
If it ain’t broke, why fix it? I am so tired of the good things in life taken away. Please reconsider your decision to cancel!!!! I guess my enjoyment and money doesn’t matter to the big guys that make all the decisions. Signed, thinking twice about supporting any other tv shows that I like. Probably get cancelled too…..
Great show, one of the best.Shame.
Please bring it back! Great show, awesome actors and stories.
What about starting a petition to deliver to CBS that this show has massive following and will be sorely, or ask other Networks might picknit up
