What’s This TV Show About?
A FOX medical drama, The Resident stars Matt Czuchry, Emily VanCamp, Manish Dayal, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Jane Leeves, Glenn Morshower, and Bruce Greenwood. The series centers on resident Dr. Devon Pravesh (Dayal), as well as Senior Resident Dr. Conrad Hawkins (Czuchry), and their colleagues at the Chastain Park Memorial Hospital. Although its motto is, “Committed to excellence,” the hospital is staffed with human beings, and humans are flawed. Now that Devon is on the other side of the institution’s velvet ropes, Conrad wants him to understand the reality of medicine and its delivery.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of The Resident on FOX averaged a 0.94 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.02 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 8% in the demo and up by 11% in viewership. Find out how The Resident stacks up against the other FOX TV shows.

Will FOX cancel or renew The Resident for season three? The ratings aren’t great but FOX has very few drama series on their schedule. I’m sure it will be renewed at this point. Need to renew it is a great show
I was not interested in the show, I saw the commercials and they just didn’t grab me. But my daughter told me she was watching it and said I needed to. So, I did and I am glad I listened to her I love this show. I am just getting ready to watch the 2nd season, thank goodness Hulu has both seasons. I am addicted LOL.. Love this show!!
I love the resident!!!! I’m a nurse and things like this really do happen, and it is great that they are making people aware how the healthcare system really is.
I have seen commercials for “The Resident” and it didn’t catch my eye. But I decided to take a chance; and I am SO HAPPY I DID! This show doesn’t only show medical scenes but has drama. PLEASE BRING IT BACK FOR SEASON 3!

I have worked many years in the OR and find this great show to be one of the most accurately portrayed medical shows on TV. The drama and intrigue keep one involved the entire time. Looking forward to its renewal.
