What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, The Resident stars Matt Czuchry, Emily VanCamp, Manish Dayal, Moran Atias, Merrin Dungey, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Melina Kanakaredes, and Bruce Greenwood. The medical drama centers on Dr. Devon Pravesh (Dayal), a newly minted resident, as well as Senior Resident Dr. Conrad Hawkins (Czuchry), and their colleagues at the Chastain Park Memorial Hospital. Although its motto is, “Committed to excellence,” the hospital is staffed with human beings, and humans are flawed. Now that Devon is on the other side of the institution’s velvet ropes, Conrad wants him to understand the reality of medicine and its delivery.

Will FOX cancel or renew The Resident for season two? Other than the special premiere, the ratings haven’t been very good. My gut tells me to put on my eating pants and prepare fans for the prospect of cancellation but FOX has lots of ratings woes so it could be renewed. My husband and I are getting tired of the television networks finally making a great show we watch the show to the point of loving it! Only to find out the show has been cancelled and another reality show has taken their place. Ugh some of us want to watch shows that help us get way from reality. We love The Residents! RENEW IT FOR SEASON 2!

I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! I will be crushed if it’s cancelled–I’m already panting having to wait three weeks for the next episode! I think it just gets better and better with every episode and I love the characters. I also love seeing “the other side” of medicine in the hospital setting, whether its real or not–very entertaining…PLEASE Fox, renew The Resident for Season 2, give it a chance!
This show is by far THE BEST show on TV. If my wife and I had to select only one show to watch each week, The Resident would be that show. Renewal is not an option, it’s a necessity. Please please please renew.

I am hooked on this show. If I can’t watch it because I’m going out, I always DVR it. The cast is excellent and the storyline continually gets better. Matt Czuchry is perfect in this role. Please don’t cancel this show. It came on with very little fanfare, so I think it’s just catching on.
The Resident is absolutely one of my favorite medical programs! I love the fact that they tend to unveil the fact that the medical field is so much of a profit based big business and that there are a few young residents that have yet to be skewed that actually try to make a difference. The writing is great! The storylines and premises are very edgy and I certainly hope to see this program reload .
The Resident is the ONLY show I DVR for the week.
