Is the second season of The Resident TV show on FOX just what the doctor ordered? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like The Resident is cancelled or renewed for season three. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all of season two episodes of The Resident. *Status update below.
A FOX medical drama, The Resident stars Matt Czuchry, Emily VanCamp, Manish Dayal, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Jane Leeves, Glenn Morshower, and Bruce Greenwood. The series centers on resident Dr. Devon Pravesh (Dayal), as well as Senior Resident Dr. Conrad Hawkins (Czuchry), and their colleagues at the Chastain Park Memorial Hospital. Although its motto is, “Committed to excellence,” the hospital is staffed with human beings, and humans are flawed. Now that Devon is on the other side of the institution’s velvet ropes, Conrad wants him to understand the reality of medicine and its delivery.
What do you think? Which season two episodes of The Resident TV series do you rate as wonderful, terrible, or somewhere between? Should FOX cancel or renew The Resident for a third season? Don’t forget to vote, and share your thoughts, below.
*3/25/19 update: FOX has renewed The Resident for a third season.
Very good show.
Love it
Love this show! Excellent cast. Terrific plots. Thanks so much for renewing this wonderful show.
This is my new favorite TV show. Love all the characters and look forward to continuing to watch!
I watch allot of tv and I can usually tell after one episode if the show has chemistry. I was HOOKED from the first episode. Great casting and chemistry. Love Conrads bad boy attitude. Awesome writing. Absolutely love Malcolm Jamal Warners character and how he interacts with the female Doctor he mentors. You can tell by the way he looks at her that he cares about her. My new favorite show…and it’s filmed in Atlanta, I live in Augusta GA. Fox would be a fool to cancel this show!!
Very good drama. Excellent characters. Brilliant casting, good scripts and the first season had an engaging plot. This is the kind of drama I watch TV for. Not all blood and guts but a strong strong story with all the entertaining elements. This is the kind of show that is usually replaced by some reality show. Sad.
I’m totally addicted to the Resident! I have always loved “medical” shows! Medicine in general fascinates me. I’m pretty sure that’s because of all the different health/medical problems I’ve had in the past, as well as those I currently have. This show is right up there with ER & House! You know it’s a awsome show when you’re extra~super~sad, at the end of every episode! And you always say “it can’t be over already! That didn’t feel even close to a hour”! Why can’t there be drs like these, in real life? Then I wouldn’t mind having so many appointments,… Read more »
Hey Heidi-Jeanne. This show is a cut above most and, yes it engages us for an hour with great acting and solid stories. All the best.
They’re all great. The action is incredible. We all want Dr’s like him. The one with the crooked Oncologist getting caught was good and the conjoined twins
This is a terrific show. The actors are right on point. Things they demonstrate do happen at hospitals. I love this show. Please keep it for next season too.
I love this show. My husband watches with me. I look forward to it each week. Please RENEW
I love the show but the sound is terrible; can’t hear some of their mumbled words. Resorting to closed captioning
Well, besides chaos, cyber attacks and gut wrenching decisions, I love this show‼
Don’t like the Doctor in charge of Operations and the Chief of Surgery, he’s a real ball buster.
The resident is awsome theres only a few shows i watch thatbi can honestly say i love the show, n most of the shows i love they cancelled or going to or they just stop them n u hear nothing so for once can we keep a great show going
Wasn’t disappointed at all with the first show in the new season. Keep up the good scripts
keep keep we love it! Love the back ground story that goes right along with the hospital problems
