Last season, SEAL Team was one of the lowest-rated scripted TV shows on CBS that was still renewed for the 2019-20 season. Will the numbers improve in season three? Could they drop lower? Will SEAL Team be cancelled or renewed for season four? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
A military drama TV show, SEAL Team stars David Boreanaz, Max Thieriot, Neil Brown Jr., AJ Buckley, Toni Trucks, Jessica Paré, and Judd Lormand, with Brock Reynolds, Trent Sawyer, and Naima Perry in recurring roles. The action-adventure series centers on an exclusive Navy SEAL unit as they train for, plan, and risk their very lives to carry out perilous missions for the sake and honor of the U.S.A. Fierce and focused Jason Hayes (Boreanaz) leads the Tier One team. Despite the hardship it causes them and their families, this SEAL team is ready, willing, and able to embark upon secret missions at the drop of a hat. Team members include Jason’s trusted confidant, Ray Perry (Brown Jr.); loyal yet self-destructive Sonny Quinn (Buckley); and young Clay Spenser (Thieriot), a multilingual and second-generation SEAL. Others who are vital to the team’s success are troop commander Lt. Cdr. Eric Blackburn (Lormand); CIA analyst Mandy Ellis (Paré); and Ensign Lisa Davis (Trucks).
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/7 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: Season two of SEAL Team on CBS averaged a 0.76 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.027 million viewers.
Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the SEAL Team TV series on CBS? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
*5/6/20 update: CBS has renewed the SEAL Team TV show for a fourth season.
Seal Team is one of the best show on TV today. I look forward to CBS Wednesdays at 8:00. Not to renew this drama for a forth season would be a huge mistake. Please renew!
Seal team is one of the best shows on tv its realistic and well written shows that also help the real world understand what our soldiers go through hope there’s a season 4. Its better than watching a show about demon possession
This is the only network TV show I watch… and I watch it on CBS All Access.
For comparison… I have watched the Sopranos, Sons of Anarchy… now Seal Team. I never watched a single episode of Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones, DWTS, etc
best show on tv… period…
EXCELLENT SHOW,WELL PRODUCED.
LOVE THE TEAM.10+
MY FAVORITE SHOW PERIOD !
Love this show. It’s my favorite. Hope it is renewed.
Gr8 show !! Good stories and excellent representations of real combat scenarios. Firearms and realism are very good with decent scenes of military tactics and equipment. .
I bet the same person marked a thumbs down for every favorable comment! Trolls are everywhere….The BEST show on TV right now! I watch via You-Tube TV. I hope they count streaming services when “counting” popularity!
18-49 ??? COME ON… Boomers are older and have more liquidity of funds, meaning disposable income to spend than your limited demographics reflect. Homes are paid off and updated. Two or 3 new paid off cars in every garage/trucks, much healthier than previous generations. Usually 2 401k$ + at the top of their income if they’re still working. If they’re retired 2 retirement plans plus 2 SS +401k . This is where Americas savings and income is the greatest, 52-80. Who do you think is buying all the top line goodies on line ? 52-80 year olds. Prime memberships, Ebay… Read more »
I really like this show, but cannot watch on prime time tv. I watch on CBS AllAccess, which probably doesn’t get counted in ratings. Too bad. I’m disabled, so really rely on the subscription tv services. Please don’t cancel the good ones.
Best show on TV. I love how CBS is finally promoting the show. Their ratings are reflective of their head to head time with the Chicago block. Survivor and SWAT ratings are down, too. Keep Seal Team for renewal. They have a very loyal following. I love how they have actual veterans involved in every aspect of the show.
I love this show and everything about it. The fact that the producers involve so much more than the action-portion of special operator’s lives, (like the toll it takes on their individual family dynamics, personal and professional relationships, and their overall individual physical and spiritual well-being) is the creative and unique actual art of the series. This should not be cancelled by CBS when they are many seasons in to other shows that are not nearly as high-level quality as Seal Team, as it is. This show takes an acquired taste and also satisfies a particular viewer. Seal Team touches… Read more »
I certainly hope the decision makers for the 4th season of Seal Team read the comments from the viewers. It is one of the best series on TV in my opinion as well as others.
This is one of my favorite TV shows. The acting, the episodes are very believable. It appears as authentic as you get from television. I would give it a score of 95 if asked.
I love the show Seal Team, cannot go out on Wed night and miss it. Please keep it on and bring Mandy back.
I think you need to look at all ages in your demographics as 18-30 year olds are busy with young children or jump starting their careers and don’t have as much time as older Americans. To older Americans great shows such as Seal Team are our only entertainment since our families are grown and are busy in their lives. Those of us on fixed incomes such as Social Security can’t afford going to movies etc so these great shows are our entertainment. I am so very tired of CBS and other networks just ignoring our opinion because we aren’t in… Read more »
Yes, well, regular TV is sponsored by commercials and so they need to reach the people who will buy what they are selling. Older people on fixed incomes are not the demographic they want because as you said they are on fixed incomes. But I do have to say our current generation (my kid’s ages 20 and 30’s) view the military as a bunch of arrogant, could not make it in the real world, last resort job. Today’s military is NOT your father’s, that is for sure.
