Shut Eye has been shut down. Deadline reports Hulu has cancelled the TV show after two seasons.
The drama stars Jeffrey Donovan as Charlie Haverford, a failed magician who begins getting visions after getting hit in the head while managing a fortune-telling parlor. The cast also includes KaDee Strickland, Angus Sampson, Susan Misner, Isabella Rossellini, Dylan Schmid, David Zayas, Havana Guppy, Layla Alizada, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and Mel Harris.
On Twitter, star Jeffrey Donovan announced Shut Eye‘s cancellation. Hulu has since confirmed the news.

So very disappointed with Hulu. Shut eye was great show ! Hopefully Netflix, or some other will pick the series up. Done with Hulu, such a shame.
Enjoyed the show Sorry to see it go. At the very least, Hulu should wrap up with season 3 for dedicated fans

Really enjoyed the series Shut Eye, I was telling all my friends and family to get Hulu for this reason only, as far as the other shows I really don’t need Hulu, really disappointed about this cancellation
My wife and I are extremely disappointed to learn of the cancellation of Shut Eye! We purchased Hulu solely for this series. A horrible decision by you Hulu. Hopefully someone will pick this up.
I’m so disappointed that Shut Eye has been cancelled. It seems that they are cancelling great series and leaving soso ones. I was left hanging and very upset about that. Thanks again HULU
ABSOLUTELY disappointed that yet another, great, Hulu Original has been cancelled. This show was intriguing, dark, funny, intense, and oddly relatable. I think Hulu made a very big mistake canceling Shut-Eye.
I Can’t believe this has been cancelled! Especially with all the hangers in the last episode. Have the producers not seen the IMDB ratings which go up daily? Hopefully another network with better vision will pick it up.
Disappointed Shut Eye is cancelled! Season Two finally gave it a great storyline, pulling all the characters together, linked in to one another, even if they didn’t know it. You know this figures for Hulu, worst pay site on the internet. I loved this show they leave it hanging. Totally criminal not giving fans an ending. Cancelling Hulu after I write this.

Shut eye was a great tv show…it sucks that it ended on such a cliff hanger! Please bring season 3 on….i would love to know how this show ends…does Linda recovet and leave charlie? Does Linda confront Nora about the fake pregnancy??? Why does Nora lie about being pregnant!!! So many questions…we need answers!!!
Cancelled another good show in Shut Eye. 2nd show they cancelled in last month that should have continued. This is why I cancelled Hulu.
I loved the first season! Thought it would get better as it went on but season 2 was definitely a huge let down. I actually WAS hoping for a season 3 to turn it back around but I did have that feeling after watching season 2 that it would end so I totally get why it ended. Should’ve kept the hypnotist mistress and the hot sister in the series and it prob would’ve done a whole lot better! J/S
Probably right. The writing went downhill. They went off on a very weird tangent. Could have been fixed though. Loved the characters.
I am extremely disappointed that the show has ended! This was one of the best shows around. Full of surprises and creativity. Love all the characters. It will be greatly missed!
