ABC is heading back to the City of Roses. The network just announced they’ve renewed Stumptown for the 2020-21 season.
Set in Portland, Oregon, the comedy-drama stars Cobie Smulders as Dex Parios, a strong, assertive, and sharp-witted military veteran who works as a private investigator. The cast also includes Jake Johnson, Tantoo Cardinal, Cole Sibus, Adrian Martinez, Camryn Manheim, and Michael Ealy.
The first season of Stumptown averaged a 0.49 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.84 million viewers. Stumptown was one of the lower-rated ABC TV shows in traditional ratings but it did well in delayed viewing.

The ONLY show that I look forward to each week now. I love these scripts and the development of the characters. Finally a cast I can look forward to being with again. COME ON SEASON TWO! Can we have the season one dvd to keep us going though, please?

Live Stumptown! It has comedy, drama, action you name it. The chemistry between all of the actors on the show is phenomenal
LOVE STUMPTOWN! IT HAS A VERY UNIQUE QUALITY TO IT. WITH THE CHARACTER, ANSEL, IT HAS SOMETHING MORE TO GIVE THAN YOUR TYPICAL DETECTIVE SHOW. LOVE THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE CHARACTERS & “DEX” IS A GOOD, BUT REAL, TYPE OF NEW WOMAN FOR 21ST CENTURY TV.
I cant wait for season two of Stumptown. I enjoyed the first season both on regular TV and again on Hulu. I hope the series goes on long enough to get re runs on Ion TV or some other channel. Definitely good for 200 episodes or more.
