What’s This TV Show About?
A Syfy horror drama, Superstition stars Mario Van Peebles, W. Earl Brown, Demetria McKinney, Diamond Dallas Page, Robinne Lee, Brad James, Morgana Van Peebles, T.C. Carter, and Tatiana Lia Zappardino. The supernatural series centers on the Hastings family of La Rochelle, Georgia. They happen to own the only funeral home and cemetery in town. Because of unexplained deaths due to demonic activity, the family also offers “afterlife care.” In addition to their arsenal of esoteric weapons, the Hastings employ extraordinary strength, alchemy, and their expertise in ancient lore and the occult, to keep the “Infernal problem” at bay, in this “landing patch” of a town.

Telly’s Take
Superstition debuted to pretty low ratings and the numbers haven’t gotten any better. Syfy eventually moved the show to Thursdays at 11pm, outside of primetime. Based on the ratings, I can’t see this show getting a second season. However, Netflix has picked up the international rights so that extra cash may be enough to fund a second season. I didn’t watch superstition when it aired but I did watch it on demand and it is a interesting and addictive show I started watching it and I binged from one to twelve in two days. I can’t wait for season two I also told all my friends who also watched it I can’t wait for season Two to start this time I will tune in. Please give us more of superstition it is well worth it. It should be renewed. Unfortunately it seems you based your rating TV viewers and not streaming. I watch all my shows from their app. I would never subscribe to a satallite provider. Do you realize these companies has lost million of customers due to people streaming. Next this show and most of shows do not get the advertisement it should. Since i have been streaming i have been able to watch good shows that should not have been cancelled and i didnt know existed. Someone needs to be creative and figure out how to include streamers in the ratings again… Read more »
I don’t think it was promoted enough. People don’t know about it. I found it by accident after the first season was completed. It showed up on the direct tv Mobil app for iPhone when I searched something else. I really liked it. It needs some tweaks but it kept my attention.
Superstition should be renewed for another season with more advertisement this time around so that it can get good ratings people can’t watch what they don’t know is on!!! Maybe because it’s a black show they didn’t do what they could to promote it but I sure do see a lot of advertisement for Happy! Which sucks by the way, why isn’t SYFY promoting superstition as well as they are Happy!? Makes one wonder about today’s society and what it thinks of black television shows. Keep superstition on the air!!!!

Superstition needs to be renewed. I found this show when I was looking for something new to watch and it instantly grabbed my attention. I just wish SyFy would have given it more pub.
