The Baker and the Beauty airs its first season finale tonight, but will there be a season two? Showrunner Dean Georgaris spoke with TVLine about the future of the ABC TV show.
The romantic dramedy stars Victor Rasuk as Daniel Garcia, a baker who begins a relationship with an international superstar. The cast also includes Nathalie Kelley, Carlos Gomez, Dan Bucatinsky, Lisa Vidal, David Del Rio, Belissa Escobedo, and Michelle Veintimilla.
The season finale of The Baker and the Beauty premieres on ABC tonight, June 1st, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Will this also be the series finale? Georgaris told TVLine he has a second season planned:
We have Season 2 all mapped out, and we know the network is excited about it, which is good. It just makes it all the more edge-of-your-seat, if you’re us, for the next month or whatever it is before they make their decision.”
So will there be a renewal? Georgaris says he’s optimistic:
They believe in the show, and they understand what we’re trying to do, and my hope is that there’ll still be room for us. I’m optimistic, but you do never know.”

I am a 64 year old white Male and am not embarrassed to admit I love this show. The 2 hour finale had me choking up a few times! I love the family, the music, and the feel good entertainment. TV needs more shows like this. Please renew it for another season.

I love this show, I actually remember that it’s on every Monday, even if I have to wait til Tuesday’s sometimes! It has a great family base, which is MUCH NEEDED in this crazy world lately! And, it shows people that there are SO MANY Opportunities out there 🙂 Plus, bringing in the LGBT within the family, added an amazing touch! It’s REAL!

There are so many shows out there, but this one is a Must Keep!! It is very family oriented, values, laughter, and down to earth. It makes you want to keep watching more!! All the actors are great! I just love how the unwitty love story of Daniel and Noa. The Baker and the Beauty deserves more than one season. Please More Seasons!! Don’t give up on this Awesome Show! ❤️❤️
