Over the past several years, ABC has had a difficult time successfully filling the Tuesdays at 10:00 PM timeslot. Could an unorthodox true-crime series be the answer or, will The Genetic Detective be the network’s latest series to draw low ratings? Will it be cancelled or renewed for season two? The Genetic Detective follows investigative genetic genealogist CeCe Moore and her work with DNA technology company Parabon NanoLabs. In the series, Moore and her team revolutionize crime-solving by working with police departments and accessible crime scene DNA to help trace the path of a criminal suspect’s family tree, uncover their identity and bring them to justice. Since 2018, Moore has used her unique research skills to transform the face of crime-solving, helping to identify more than 100 violent criminal suspects.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

This show and CeCe have captured my attention! These people who are using the DNA advances and CeCe’s genetic work are truly groundbreaking. I’m recommending this show to everyone I know!

This is my favorite television show; educational and informative. Was very disappointed when I realized this was the final show on 6-30-2020. Please renew it for the next season.
This show is absolutely fantatstic! Please do not cancel it. It is fasanating and very educational. I would like to see more of the work that CeCe does however.
I’m crazy about this Show! Please continue to air it! It’s the first of its kind, using “Genealogy.” It’s unique and a refreshing change from the other true mystery and crime story shows. This is a “keeper!”
Please do not cancel Genetic Detective. I just found the program. Maybe it should have been advertised more. Nerdy educational.
Totally agree. If if didn’t do a little research before watching it I wouldn’t have known. I did recall seeing on Finding Your Roots (a favorite of mine) that CeCe was featured as the genealogist. So interesting, educational and fulfilling.
I stumbled upon the show after reading about it in People. I binge watched all 5 episodes over the weekend and am anxious for the 6th episode to release today! I think they need more advertising – I loved the show and hope it continues!! I think CeCe is great – and although the content could be “jazzed” up to make the show more exciting, I find the work that’s being done fascinating.
Please do not cancel. It is a very interesting show.

I really like the show. It is really interesting how she figures out who the suspect is by using genealogy.
There are more commercials that content. If the show was reduced to a half hour with the same amount of content it would be better.
They need to get more into the cases that she is solving and less about CeCe herself. This 4th episode just repeated a lot of the information that we were given in the 1st episode about CeCe and how she got into what she is doing now.
