TV show description:
Set in the 1980s, this sitcom follows the Goldbergs, a loving American family who yells more than most. Adam, the geeky 11-year-old son, documents his family’s life with his video camera. The series is based on creator Adam F. Goldberg’s real-life family experiences, which he also used to capture on videotape.
Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) is an overbearing and overprotective PTA mom who loves to shop and isn’t afraid to use her big mouth to protect her kids. She rules the family with absolute authority — and zero sense of boundaries.
Murray (Jeff Garlin) is a gruff, hot-tempered dad who is never scary. He’s triggered by a pin drop but struggles to stay calm. He runs the “Ottoman Empire”, the family furniture business and comes home weary after a long day, wanting nothing more than to veg in front of the television in his underwear. Helpless without his wife, he’s content to let her rule the roost.
The eldest child, Erica (Hayley Orrantia), is 17 years old and in rebellion mode. She’s smart and sexy and is nobody’s fool. She manipulates and beats up on her younger brothers but ultimately looks out for them.
Overly emotional, Barry (Troy Gentile) is 16 years old and has severe middle-child syndrome. He’s got horrible hygiene and even worse style. Awkward around girls, he spends his free time at the Moonlight Skate Rink and freestyle rapping.
Camera-wielding Adam (Sam Giambrone) is the youngest child bursting with energy — and is largely ignored by his family. Nothing makes him happier than a family fight. He thinks arguing is the only way to interact with his older siblings — since they usually won’t have anything to do with him.
Al “Pops” Solomon (George Segal) is the wild man of the clan — and the widowed grandfather. Sometimes a little senile, he’s a shameless Don Juan schooling little Adam in the ways of love. He dresses in leisure suits and dates an endless parade of younger gold diggers. Pops’ grandchildren adore him while his daughter tries to mother him, something he does not appreciate.

What do you think? Do you like The Goldbergs TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for an 11th season?
I love this show! Cracks me up!
I love the show It is very original
I LOVE the Goldbergs, especially since my dad used to come home from work and take off his pants, and some of the Yiddish that is snuck in is a scream. It’s a very funny show. I wish it could run another season.
I enjoy the simplicity of the way the family interacts. Such sweet love and kindness. Always a lesson hidden there at the end..Respect for the Granddad….funny helicopter Mom,, good natured Father and interesting young Ones…Please keep it going. It is a refreshing change to most of what is on.
I love this show. Brings me back to the neon, lace-gloved, Madonna crosses, torn fishnets, big hair, waiting for MTV videos of your faves and so much more of life in high school and my early 20’s. The music, the fashion, the trends: very on-point. DON’T cancel it!! I watch it every week. It’s way better than watching lame B-list celebrities dancing for votes from uptight snobs. Blech! Wednesday is the only night I watch ABC. Don’t wreck it or you can kiss me goodbye.
Definitely a funny show, I only wish the writers would research their time-line better.
The show on 11/11/15 focused around the movie “Troop Beverly Hills,” showing it having been released on video in the ’80’s while the Goldburg daughter was still in middle school, with her and her friends still watching it years later while in their senior year of high school.
This could never have happened since in reality the movie wasn’t released in the theaters until March of 1989.
This is one of the biggest flopping moments of this show I’ve ever seen.
ABC is slowly doing something right again. I wasn’t sure about this show, but I never miss an episode.
This is the best comedy on television. It reminds me so much of when my children were growing up in the eighties, and it is fun to see again the toys, games, Atari’s and such from that era. Please DO NOT cancel this funny show. It is my favorite. All of the characters are fun and likable.
This is one of the Most Hilarious shows I’ve Ever watched! I don’t watch a lot of “Grown-Up” TV, because I have three small children. I only watch about 3 shows a wk & if I Ever miss a show, I Always catch up On Demand! BEST SHOW EVER!!
The Goldberg’s the best since Fraser i think so brilliant cast pity we have to wait so long in England to get it .just don’t cancel the best show on tv
I love the show. It is humorous, instructive and i love it.
This is my FAVORITE show on right now… Grew up in the 80’s and can relate so well!!! Never miss a episode.. Hoping it is not cancelled!!! I will be so mad!
I can not believe that they would cancel this show!! This is one of the best shows ABC has on their lineup. I really hope they rethink their decision .
Best comedy on TV we love the Goldbergs!!!
I look forward to each time this show is on. I hope it runs until each sibling is married
Adam sure did the right thing with that video recorder.
This show makes all of our families look normal
