The Grinder and Grandfathered are sticking around a bit longer on FOX. Variety reported on Thursday that the network has ordered six more scripts of both the Fred Savage comedy and John Stamos comedy.
Both series will air new episodes on October 20 before they take a break through December because FOX’s World Series coverage.
Both The Grinder and Grandfathered had decent premieres, but they have both slipped in the ratings department the last two weeks.

Grandfathered. Nice ensemble of actors, nice rhythm. Fun sweet and elegant show.
I like both shows but have to say Grandfathered is a much better show than The Grinder. Sometimes The Grinder can seem to drag a bit. And John Stamos plays a self centered playboy getting in touch with his paternal side with lots of laughs!
I really like both the grinder and grandfathered. Fox needs to give them a chance.
We LOVE LOVE The Grinder!! I have told all of my friends to watch the show. Rob Lowe and Fred Savage are EXCELLENT actors and the writing of the show is HILARIOUS!! It is smart and makes us belly laugh. The interaction of the brothers and the father on the show is seamless. As for the show, Grandfathered, we gave it a chance, but the writing is NOT clever or funny. Bummer. My mom, sisters, and I (each of us living in different states) feel the same way! PLEASE renew The Grinder!!! It’s worthwhile!
I freaking LOVE Grandfathered!!! Its so cute and funny!! A real life family show!!! Its beens too long since something like this has been on tv and it needs to stay!!! Please keep this show!!!

The parts that are supposed to be heartfelt family moments are forced and shallow. It was a… Read more »
I think both shows are really good and I’d like to see them continue.
In my opinion, The Grinder is a much better sitcom than Grandfathered.
