The Kids Are Alright stars Michael Cudlitz, Mary McCormack, Sam Straley, Caleb Foote, Sawyer Barth, Christopher Paul Richards, Jack Gore, Andy Walken, and Santino Barnard. The 1970s-period comedy centers on the Clearys, an Irish-Catholic family living on the outskirts of Los Angeles. Since its the ’70s, Peggy (McCormack) and Mike (Cudlitz) are raising their kids with a lack of supervision which might stun today’s parents, and now their eldest son wants to quit the seminary to go “save the world.” The times they are a-changing, and the Cleary family is not immune to the turbulence around them.
Airing on Tuesday nights, the first season of The Kids Are Alright is averaging a 0.87 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.15 million viewers.
Out of the 21 scripted ABC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Kids Are Alright is in 11th place in the demo and 10th place in total viewership.

ABC needs to reconsider kids alright tv show cancellation ..it is the best wholesome comedy tv show on air…very disappointed it is being cancelled…please reconsider

Very disappointed in ABC. The Kids Are Alright is our family’s favorite show. It is the one show that we actually make a point each week to watch together. That is saying a lot when we have very active 11 and 13 year old boys with jam packed schedules to work around.
Really mad they cancelled this show. The Kids was our favorite new show! Bring it back!

My husband and I loved Peggy, the no nonsense mom, who kept the family running. Mike and the boys knew they’d better do what she said or else. The characters were all great yet their personalities were so different. Loved Pat. I will miss this show. I think ABC made a mistake. Black-ish used to be funny when it first started but now it’s turned into a lecture every week. it should have been cancelled and Kids should stay.
We are retired and are faithful watchers of The Kids Are Alright. Well written and fast moving. Was looking forward to watching the family grow. Hopefully ABC will change its mind or another network will pick it up. #SaveTheKidsAreAlright
