The Kids Are Alright stars Michael Cudlitz, Mary McCormack, Sam Straley, Caleb Foote, Sawyer Barth, Christopher Paul Richards, Jack Gore, Andy Walken, and Santino Barnard. The 1970s-period comedy centers on the Clearys, an Irish-Catholic family living on the outskirts of Los Angeles. Since its the ’70s, Peggy (McCormack) and Mike (Cudlitz) are raising their kids with a lack of supervision which might stun today’s parents, and now their eldest son wants to quit the seminary to go “save the world.” The times they are a-changing, and the Cleary family is not immune to the turbulence around them.
Airing on Tuesday nights, the first season of The Kids Are Alright is averaging a 0.87 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.15 million viewers.
Out of the 21 scripted ABC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Kids Are Alright is in 11th place in the demo and 10th place in total viewership.

I loved this TV show it was great, awesome, how can you cancel it ? oh wait, I know howcome you need to have two bachelors shows and a bachelorette show and a bunch of other shows that are totally dumb, and you have to reboot other shows. Finally there was a show that people could relate to, and meet new people and characters a pretty good family show.
You said it in a nutshell. I’m thoroughly disgusted this fantastic show got cancelled… WHY??? I look forward to every single episode so I can laugh out loud. Such clever writing and such a great cast. Just sickening it’s not going to be there anymore. PLEASE RETHINK AND RENEW! OR PLEASE SOME OTHER NETWORK PICK IT UP.. PLEASE!

I love this show why they would cancel this and keep some of the dumber sitcoms they have is beyond me. This show was refreshing change for the put down so called comedies ABC usually runs/
My family thought the show was great! Even my 15 yr old laughed!! Reminded me of when I grew up I n the 70’s. They should bring it back

The Kids Are Alright was such a warm, witty show. I am so very disappointed it wasn’t renewed for a second season. I truly hope it’s picked up by another network or streaming service. It surely deserves a second chance to continue growing its audience.
I LOVE this show!! It’s the funniest show I’ve seen on TV in years. I just knew this was going to happen! I don’t know whether the kids or the Parents were funnier, but the writing and the cast were perfect. I think the humor was more for adults, but those kids were hilarious! I will miss it so much. I’m sure it will get replaced by another game show, un-funny “comedy”, or six more versions of The Bachelor(ette). Very disappointed to hear the network cancelled one of the best shows of the season. This series was the only reason I watched ABC. Goodbye series, good by network. 🙁
The kids are all right was one of my favorite shows. I’m sorry to see it go.
I love The Kids are Alright! I am so saddened that it will not be renewed. All the characters are so funny and I will miss this show.
