The Neighborhood was set to wrap production on its second season finale later this week, but the plug has been pulled on that plan, per Deadline. The series was going to film its finale without a studio audience on March 17.
Production was originally set to move forward with only two days of filming and work left on the episode. This series is the latest to see a shut down of production due to the coronavirus. Another series, The 100, did manage to film the last bit of its finale before production wrapped. That series will premiere onThe CW later this spring.
The bad news for fans of the CBS series though is that the cast and crew currently does not have plans to return to film the finale once things return to normal. This finale was set to an end a multi-episode arc.

I LOVE that show, and I hope it will be back sometime in the future.
Once things return to normal (and I am hoping they do), they could just delay “The Neighborhood”‘s season two finale into next season (an early-September airing?) and increase the season 3 episode order to 23. All these production shutdowns are really going to compromise shows’ syndication packages. “The Neighborhood” is essentially guaranteed a third season since it’s performing so well (respectably?) during its second year, especially with it being a property of CBS’s in-house studio.
People need to calm down. This had nothing to do with if the show will come back or not. It simply means they were going to film the SEASON finale but because of covid19 they are not risking their lives to film a single episode. This is happening with many shows.
If it returns or not is still based on normal reasons. So be glad they are not risking the lives of the people on the show you enjoy, cause if they die, the show won’t come back ever.
Love this show. Please come back and finish finale show. Also please renew it for a third season!

Yes we will miss it this is a tip show on CBS and Millions watch it. They should have been able to finish the last ep if season 2. CBS Better not cancel this outstanding family comedy show!
