What’s This TV Show About?
An NBC drama, The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.

Will NBC cancel or renew The Village for season two? I think it could go either way. Right out of the gate, the ratings weren’t very good, especially for a series that followed NBC’s This Is Us drama. However, the ratings remained pretty consistent and saw some improvement when it was moved to an earlier timeslot. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. It really stinks they canceled The Village!!! They should bring it back ASAP. It was one of my favorite new shows. These are the shows I watch. I can’t stand a lot of reality shows ,Please bring it back .
MADE big BIG mistake canceling this show.. it WAS REAL LIFE.. back from war and adjusting, health issues ( cancer) divorce, kids in divorce, neighbors helping each other, real life situations. this show was JUST AS GOOD as This is us, Million little things.. Your age group you showed for ratings was also unfair.. I posted on facebook canceled.. and all comments sorry is has been same as I feel. Please bring back The Village. It was such a good drama and I looked forward to seeing it every week. I was so disappointed to learn it was cancelled. There are so few good TV shows anymore. This one was awesome. I will miss the characters.

Extremely disappointed that “The Village “ is not being renewed. It’s the one show I was so looking forward to. So sad to no longer follow the lives of the characters so diverse in this beautifully written show.

Not a whole lot of reason to watch NBC (other than This is Us) which is how they got me back & I found this show.
All the Actors were top notch & truly enjoyed the writing with it’s unexpected turns. REALLY DISAPPOINTED!
With the new season, I was looking for the VIllage to return and understand NBC was short-sighted and cancelled it. The show reflected family and values unlike a lot of the trashy reality shows. Not much of a reason to view NBC programming anymore. Disappointed….
