What’s This TV Show About?
An NBC drama, The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.

Will NBC cancel or renew The Village for season two? I think it could go either way. Right out of the gate, the ratings weren’t very good, especially for a series that followed NBC’s This Is Us drama. However, the ratings remained pretty consistent and saw some improvement when it was moved to an earlier timeslot. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. I so hope they bring it back for a 2nd season!! I don’t watch many tv shows consistently but I couldn’t wait for this one to come on every week. Great cast, great story- written so that you became involved in all of their lives. It was so sad when tonight’s episode was over, knowing that it was the end of the season. We need to know how things turn out for everyone!!!!
I totally agree! I couldn’t wait to see it the next week! If I couldn’t watch it my DVR was set for sure! Love love love ALL the characters! Patricia is the heart of the show! She’s everyone’s go to! Channel 4 has to bring this show back along with New Amsterdam & This Is Us! The Village stories connects with a lot of people… that’s what makes it so good! Can’t wait for season 2… Hopefully it comes back! Gotta see what happens with each character & please don’t let anything happen to Patricia!!
It would be a mistake not to bring The Village back. This show brings to light the importance of family and strength of true friendship. I hope NBC realizes what a gem they have in this exquisite drama and renews it.
I absolutely love this show and have faithfully watched it every week! I am shocked to see that it received bad ratings. This is one of the finest shows that have been on in a long time. What has the mentally of the world come to? Garbage like the Bachelor & Bachelorette? Kardashian’s?? What a shame if this show wasn’t renewed!
