What’s This TV Show About?
A Netflix sci-fi mystery, Travelers stars Eric McCormack, MacKenzie Porter, Nesta Cooper, Jared Abrahamson, Reilly Dolman, Patrick Gilmore, J. Alex Brinson, Leah Cairns, and Jennifer Spence. The drama unfolds in a post-apocalyptic future, in which special operatives known as “travelers” go back in time to save humanity from destruction. Unlike much time-travel fiction, there is no time machine involved. Instead, a traveler transfers his or her consciousness into the body of “target” just prior to that person’s death, then uses the person’s identity as a cover, while carrying out secret missions.
As of February 1, 2019, Travelers has been cancelled, so there won’t be a fourth season. Could it return someday? Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Unless they decide to publicize viewership, it is difficult to predict whether Netflix will cancel or renew Travelers for season four. Flying blind, I think it will be renewed. Although the series started out as a co-production between Canada’s Showcase and Netflix, as of season three, it is solely a Netflix TV series. I would have expected them to announce this season as the third and final season if they were ready to end it. Sooo disappointed. WTF. A mind boggling, interesting, emotional drama with good ratings and Netflix is cutting it to increase money in their pockets. It is all about mediocrity: shows that straddle the midline and don’t present anything too alarming or thought provoking, those get new seasons, Stranger Things for example. So tired of always losing to the grand middle ground.
I loved that series! Why, oh why do they always cancel the good ones! I loved the characters, the writing and the storyline kept me interested. Hope some other network will pick them up. Watching it all over again now.
One of the most intelligent, entertaining, engrossing series I had the temporary pleasure to watch. Who is Netflix catering to… Mindless, bubblegum chewing, checked out millennials.

You can’t leave a good show like Travelers hanging with the possibility of a new start. What better way to change some things that maybe didn’t work or for new ideas, incorporate some new world events into the story.
COME ON!!! VERY disappointed that Travelers has been cancelled. It was a great story, great characters and great acting.
This show was absolutely awesome! I could watch it over and over and over! It was a great show in every way (story, character development, sci-fi, and relevant to the viewer) The show tackled heroin addiction, child custody, abusive relationship, world issues, homelessness, being mentally challenged, parents pushing their kids to live out their own dreams (Trevor Football) and it never let these stories fade. Travelers had an 8.1 rating out of nearly 39,000 votes on IMDb. THE RATINGS king of all entertainment. And YOU CANCELED IT? You truly cannot be that stupid! 8.1 rating is considered extremely high for a show on IMDb. Do you not “understand” what you have in Travelers? Seriously HUGE mistake. PLEASE RETHINK THIS GOOFY DECISION?
So very sad. Netflix quality shows continue to fall as more mindless shows get to continue. Hopefully Amazon Prime will see the quality and pick it up. Netflix Subscription getting cancelled.

It’s done, Eric McCormick announced on twitter today (2/1). So stinking disappointed. What a great show and had so much potential with that Season 3 ending.
