WGN America is still pretty new to producing their own original dramas so it was unclear how bad the ratings would have to be before they cancelled a show. Now that they’ve cancelled Manhattan, we have a better idea. Will Outsiders be the second to go or, will it be renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
A drama series, Outsiders is set in the rugged hills of Appalachia and follows the Farrell clan. They are a tight-knit family of renegades who have lived atop Shay Mountain for over two hundred years and are at odds with those who live outside of their community. The cast includes David Morse, Thomas M. Wright, Ryan Hurst, Joe Anderson, Gillian Alexy, Kyle Gallner, Christina Jackson, Francie Swift, and Phyllis Somerville.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

The Outsider is one of the best shows on any channel, on any time slot. We have ALL the pay channels, and The Outsiders is as good as Homeland, Ray Donovan, or Billions. How stupid to cancel a sure bet just because you don’t know how to make a business deal without getting cold feet. No wonder WGN remains the little sister of TV series.

I will not watch this channel if it cancels The Outsiders. It’s an awesome show. When there is hope of having something good on it gets canceled. Please put it back
