Glee has been renewed for two more seasons but spin-off The Glee Project has been cancelled. The Oxygen TV series won’t see a third season.
The reality show, which saw performers competing for an arc on FOX’s Glee, ran for two seasons, from June 2011 until August 2012. The second season’s winner, Blake Jenner, won a seven episode arc but stuck around a lot longer and will be a series regular in season five.
It’s being reported that the decision to end the show was made weeks ago and was not impacted by the recent death of Glee actor Cory Monteith.
What do you think? Will you miss The Glee Project?
I think this was one of the truest talent shows out there. Why not bring it back and let glee go for awhile. Trade off with both shows
Noooo! I’m so disappointed. This is a great showcase of unknown talent.
It is the best TV show on earth, I am so disappointed for its termination.
Why Glee survives, but not Glee Project? Out of ratings or budget????
I am so sad, it is the right place for those actors who don’t have connections in Hollywood. I am so sick and tired of those who can’t act, but get the roles only because their parents are somebody important in Hollywood.
I already miss it. I really liked the show — even better than “Glee” itself.
Oxygen, I am SO disappointed. It was stated that the decision to renew was based on ‘Glee’ being renewed, which it was. I would love to see ‘The Glee Project’ moved to another cabler.
Shame on you Oxygen – this show was the only show I was watching on your loser channel.
