TV show description:
A courthouse drama that’s set in Los Angeles, the All Rise TV show follows the chaotic, hopeful (and sometimes absurd) world of judges, prosecutors, public defenders, bailiffs, clerks, and cops. A diverse group, these professionals have one thing in common — they’re seeking justice for the citizens involved in a flawed legal process.
Judge Lola Carmichael (Missick) was recently appointed to the bench and was a highly regarded and impressive deputy district attorney. Now that she’s a judge, Lola pushes the boundaries and challenges the expectations of what someone in that position can be.
It’s not an easy road, but thankfully, Lola has some friends and co-workers who can offer her counsel.
Mark Callan (Bethel) is Lola’s roguish best friend and colleague. He’s a successful deputy district attorney who now must adjust to the shifting boundaries in their personal and professional relationship.
Supervisory Judge Lisa Benner (Helgenberger) is an influential and powerful figure who’s tasked with overseeing Lola’s transition into her new job.
And finally, there’s Sherri Kansky (Miles), Lola’s efficient and pragmatic judicial assistant. She’s a pro but isn’t thrilled at the prospect of “training” a rookie judge.
Others working in the courthouse include Emily Lopez (Camacho), an empathetic and blunt public defender who’s filled with fire and conviction; Luke Watkins (Brinson), a court bailiff who’s taking law classes at night; and Sara Castillo (Mendez), a court reporter who’s a reliable source of inside information and advice.
Episode #58 — Sometimes Truth is Stanger Than Fiction
Emily represents a client charged with murder, and a new presiding judge is announced. Also, Mark’s father makes a difficult decision to protect himself and his family. Later, Mark and Amy celebrate their wedding.
First aired: October 18, 2023.
DO NOT cancel All Rise… great show
This cancellation is a real disappointment. Loved this show and never missed an episode.
I love All Rise and am very disappointed that it has been canceled.
All Rise, is a amazing show with a excellent story line. I look forward to each episode weekly. Please do not cancel it is one of the best shows on TV.
I agree.
Why are you do this to another one of the shows. I like cancelling it. DAM. Pretty soon I won’t have any TV shows left.
I absolutely love All Rise. This is a fresh new look at a court show that has it all. Love, romance, drama, suspense, funny, and I can’t wait to see what kind of cases they get and how each lawyer finds a solutions they find. Now with a baby on board it’s a no holds barred.
PLEASE KEEP ALL RISE.
All Rise is the best drama series on CBS, followed by Seal, and FBI. I hope these shows continue for a long time. They are fresh and very plausible. Bull is another show that is interesting. If CBS kept these shows I would be thrilled.
I love All Rise. It is my favorite show on TV. Suspense, Drama, Action, Drama. I love the diversity and how people from different races are able to interact with each other in real life situations. The actors do an excellent job in portraying their characters. Especially love the parts about viewing the justice system from a different perspective where one should be given a second chance. It is so beautiful that I have developed a real life friendship with one of the actors within the series, this makes the series even more special. Imagine me watching TV and I… Read more »
All Rise is by far the best show on television. It shows realistic relationships of people who are best friends, and who are always there for each other. The diversity is another great asset of this show and it would be a shame if it were lost to cancelation. Love this show, and the actors who do such a great job in each episode.
I love allrise since they been on the air they
have excellent cast,producers, writers
I love All Rise and it’s diversity. Seeing people of color and white people come together have their opinions and differences and are still connected with each other. I was so happy when it came back after the Pandemic. But I can’t seem to find it on and couldn’t wait till Monday comes around
it’s an Excellentt show.
I am very disappointed with “All Rise,” this season. It seems to be activists for social justice issues. Instead, of good courtrooms drama, they now are inserting their views on issues that are bad for our country. I don’t know if I will watch any further episodes.

I LOVE HER MOM, IN HERE, TOO! & I CAN SO RELATE TO THAT RELATIONSHIP, AS WELL! I ONLY SUBSCRIBE TO CBS/ALL ACCESS, JUST FOR ALL RISE,… Read more »
All Rise is the single best TV series on television today, bar none! The story lines are timely, the writing is articulate, intelligent & genuine for all the characters. The relationships feel authentic and real to the audience who roots and cares about them. The acting skills of each member of the cast is outstanding. They each work together creating this weekly thoughtful experience that entertains and informs the audience. I’m rewatching Season 1 in preparation for Season 2. I’m blown away again by the quality, the integrity and of the reality of All Rise. It’s a great use of… Read more »
