CBS has cancelled the American Gothic TV show after one season as a summer series. Deadline reports, “American Gothic, a twisty family drama from creator Corinne Brinkerhoff and Amblin TV, drew 2.7 million viewers and a 0.5 in 18-49 (L+SD).”
A murder mystery series, American Gothic stars: Virginia Madsen, Juliet Rylance, Justin Chatwin, Stephanie Leonidas, Gabriel Bateman, Megan Ketch, and Elliot Knight.

Although it seems as if the network is beginning to getting us hooked on great shows and then ripping them away, when there’s a great fanbase to support it’s longevity.
Goes to show, your loyalty is slipping, so it’s time for your true fan’s to depart as well.

I just watched the show on Amazon Prime and loved it!! I am disappointed that it won’t be back. Why do good shows always get cancelled and reality shows aren’t?

Me and my sister watched every evening together at my place after I taped it. We loved American Gothic. Seriously get rid of all the stupid reality shows that mkost people don’t give a crap about it. Bring Back American Gothic for a season 2 please I loved this show. Why do they get you hooked from the first episode first season, then yank the carpet out from under us by cancelling it. When there is a good show on television, it never fails it gets cancelled. There is reality shows that should be cancelled. Please bring American Gothic back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved this show and so did my family!!!! We were just talking about it and I was looking to see when it was starting the new season!!! So bummed it was cancelled. Unbelievable because it had so much going on!

It was a great story line with potential for more. ABC, NBC, and CBS cancel shows with unlimited potential due to an expectation of instant gratification. I have stopped watching any series on ABC because of their pattern of starting a show then stopping it with no closure. Instead they focus on fluff, such as American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, Big Brother, etcetera. I could go on.
