TV show description:
This dramatic series revolves around a well-to-do Boston family. They are reeling in the wake of the chilling discovery that someone in their midst may be a serial killer.
Very successful patriarch Mitchell Hawthorne (Jamey Sheridan) runs a local concrete company and is married to Madeline (Virginia Madsen). They are both very conscious of society and the importance of maintaining appearances.
Following an accident at the construction company, evidence is revealed that links the family to an infamous murderer, dubbed the Silver Bells Killer.
Their Hawthorne’s eldest daughter, Alison Hawthorne-Price (Juliet Rylance), sits on the city council and has decided to run for mayor.
A successful syndicated cartoonist, brother Cam (Justin Chatwin) has a son named Jack (Gabriel Bateman) and they have distanced themselves from Cam’s troubled ex-wife, Sophie (Stephanie Leonidas).
Daughter Tessa (Megan Ketch) is married to a Boston police detective, Brady Ross (Elliot Knight). He’s investigating newly discovered evidence in the serial-murder case.
Prodigal son Garrett (Antony Starr) reappears after 14 years away. That’s about how long it’s been since the Silver Bells Killer last claimed a victim.
As shocking secrets from the past and present are revealed, the family’s mounting suspicion and paranoia threatens to tear them apart.
Episode #13 — Whistler’s Mother
With a killer taunting them, the Hawthornes look to the police for assistance, but Brady needs Garrett’s help to solve the case. Alison prepares for the election and is rocked by a shocking discovery about her family and the unexpected return of an old friend. Also, as the family gathers for Election Day, they attempt to identify the killer in their midst, but one of them won’t make it

What do you think? Do you like the American Gothic TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Excellent thriller. Keeps you wanting more ! Why do the networks constantly screw with us ? They keep some crap on that is so thin, that it’s so thin wet toilet paper is more interesting !
I was shocked that they cancelled it! What were they thinking?
Should have been renewed
This show was awesome, sorry to see it go!!!
I am wondering why CBS cancelled the show. I get how ratings work but the show is awesome. Definitely keeps the viewer on their toes. I loved it
It was a twisted fun summer show. So like Brain Dead they HAD to cancel it. What a waste.
I love love love American Gothic! I’m streaming it on my Amazon — and on episode 12. I cannot understand why this show would be canceled! I’m so sad. Is there a chance Amazon, Hulu or even Netflix would let it continue on??? 🙁
With all the crummy shows on for the summer, this was the best and should not have been cancelled. They did this to Dallas to. Man grown ups do watch tv.
One of the best shows of summer 2016. Should not be cancelled, I was really looking forward to the next season.
Don’t cancel American Gothic. I love this show. I waited all winter for the next season
This show was one of the best shows on tv- they HAVE to bring this back!!
This show cannot be cancelled!!!
I thought this was a great show!!
I loved this show. Wish it wasn’t cancelled, as everything else that has some quality unlike the kardashians and the housewives who really have no money or class.
I really enjoyed this show, great storyline, great actors. Why isn’t it given a change? Cancel the Kardashians please!
i LOVE this show!!!!
