The final eight episodes of Blue Bloods will air in the fall, but there has already been talk of keeping the world of the long-running CBS drama alive. However, a spin-off will not come anytime soon.
The Blue Bloods series follows a family of law enforcement officers in New York City and stars Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray.
CBS Studios President David Stapf recently discussed the series and confirmed that a spin-off is expected. However, nothing is concrete just yet. One possible spin-off idea focused on Donnie Wahlberg’s character, but the project did not move forward. That could still happen at a later date.
Stapf said the following, per Deadline:
“We don’t have anything that’s going to be in development soon but it’s a brand, a title and a show that is beloved. We’ve got to get it right so we’re taking our time and trying to figure it out, okay, what is the next iteration of Blue Bloods? We have a whole season to go where we intend to celebrate it all season long as to how good that show is, so there’s still time for us to figure that out.”
The return date for the 14th and final season of Blue Bloods will be announced soon.

Just extend it, so deserving and ratings prove it!
Please, please ,please don’t cancel the show. My family and I have been watching for years and we feel we’ve grown up with them. Ending the series would be like killing off some of our family. Please don’t cancel it.
I don’t understand why when you have a good show and you have good actors that you want to go and take it off the air. I mean if it wasn’t getting the ratings I could understand but Blue bloods is one of your best shows. So just leave it alone and keep doing Blue bloods
Now that Pat Sajak has re’td, ONLY “Blue Bloods” with Tom Selleck & “Price if Right’s” with Drew Carey have an actual Veteran in its cast. But then with so VERY few Veterans in Hollywood, it’s not surprising!
There are many men and women who served in the military who work inin the industry. Just because we aren’t in front of the camera or big stars doesn’t mean we don’t matter. Have some respect, please.
I can’t believe Blue Bloods is cancelled. It is the best show on network tv. It should continue just as is. Why mess with perfection?
I agree with Carol’s statement. Blue Bloods has been one of our favorite shows for many years, many years. The people at CBS should have their heads examined. I may have to stop watching CBS because they are losing too many great shows and replacing them with stupid one. Good-bye CBS!
All I can say is the people that are responsible for this at CBS need to have their heads read. Cancelling an excellent show as Blue Bloods what are you thinking????
YESSSS Thank You CBS for finally getting another LOUSY show off the air. I know sadly you took off some really GREAT shows in the past, but BLUE BLOODS was NO MISTAKE AWESOME !! I know of a couple more shows you need to put out of their misery !!!!!!!! I LOVE YOUR NEWS ALWAYS FRESH AND ACCURATE UP TO DATE !! THANKS AGAIN FOR DOING A GREAT SERVICE BY TRASHING BLUE BLOODS it is a nice thing you do to keep CBS fresh and on the air !!!!!!!!
Blue Bloods is my favorite show. Like some other commenters, I enjoy SWAT. Otherwise, I have canceled my Paramount Plus subscription and will watch the final Blue Bloods episodes and what I guess will be the final season of SWAT on demand muting all the commercials. I currently watch nothing on NBC and ABC. CBS will be soon.
I agree with the comments already on here. What is wrong with you people? You have a show that neither the actors nor the fans want to see end and so what do you do? End it..I will not be watching CBS anymore other than SWAT.

**** off CBS! I will not be watching any of your new shows. This will be the 3rd season I have not added a CBS show to my viewing list. Once Swat and Survivor are gone I am done with you forever!
