TV show description:
This drama is about a multi-generational family who are dedicated to New York City law enforcement.
New York City’s Police Commissioner, Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck), is the head of both the police force and the Reagan family. He runs his department as diplomatically as he runs his family, even when dealing with the politics. Those same politics plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry (Len Cariou), during his stint as Chief.
A widowed father of three boys and a girl, Frank’s essentially a blue-collar guy who’s worked his way up through the ranks. It hasn’t been an easy journey, particularly because he lost his eldest son in the line of duty.
Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) is the oldest surviving Reagan son and a seasoned detective. He’s married, the father of two kids, and a hot-tempered Iraqi War vet who occasionally uses dubious tactics to solve cases.
The sole woman in the Reagan family is Erin Reagan Boyle (Bridget Moynahan). She’s a New York Assistant District Attorney and a newly single parent of a teenage daughter. She also serves as the legal compass for her siblings and father. It was her mother’s wish that she and her younger brother stay in law enforcement but off the police force. She and Danny have each other’s backs but know how to push each other’s buttons too.
Jamie (Will Estes) is the youngest Reagan, fresh out of Harvard Law and the family’s “golden boy.” Unable to deny the family tradition, Jamie decided to give up a lucrative future in law and is now a rookie cop, much to the chagrin of his fiancee. Things become extra complicated when he’s asked to become part of a clandestine police investigation that the rest of the family knows nothing about — something that could impact the family’s legacy forever.

What do you think? Do you like the Blue Bloods TV show? Do you think it should be ending or renewed for a 17th season on CBS?
LOVE, LOVE THIS SHOW!!!
Our family loves the tradition and great story writing of Blue Bloods. It continues to evolve with really great characters and plots.
I love watching Blue Bloods
Stay up with current events, sometimes armchair grabbing. Enjoy from retired 30 yr. Fire Lt.
Love Blue Blood best program on TV Please keep it on
If self-righteousness and sanctimony are your thing, then you’ll love this overbearing show. On a nuts and bolts level, isn’t it ridiculous to have the fate of the the biggest city in the world be decided by the same four members of the same family week after week, year after year? Danny Reagan has saved the city from destruction more times than Superman and Batman combined. That got a little stale after Season 4 or so.
I always feel good after watching Blue Bloods. It’s like eating a wholesome meal around the dinner table with my family.
I didn’t watch Blue Bloods until their third season, but when I saw the first show—I was hooked! For a week, I binge watched the previous shows to catch up on the series and I have not missed an episode since. My husband didn’t watch the show until last year and is now a die hard fan of the show. He has viewed most of the previous seasons from reruns. TV is not my first choice for entertainment, but Blue Bloods is a show that is intelligently written, grounded in family values, and is so current that I record every… Read more »

You were right in you’re interview earlier in the week. There was not a dry eye in my house. You, a detective should have known who the DNA mystery layed with. I figured that one out. GREAT!!!!!!!! Show. Keep em coming. Can’t wait til Sept or oct……
Please do not cancel Blue Bloods. It is a great TV show about a great family! Love Selleck!
Blue Bloods is the one show of the week that I really look forward to seeing. They have great writers as well as actors. It is the only CBS show I see every week. If it cancelled I will revert back to watching the Ten O’clock news.
I really miss blue bloods. Im very hurt to see it go. Booooo!
What do you mean? It hasn’t been cancelled yet …. hoping to get one last final season.
The show is repetitive and boring. It is a family with no other interest than their jobs, which they cannot for a minute refrain from discussing, and of which they are totally obsessed. Compared to the Rookie or Chicago PD, the show is garbage. Case in point: What idiot gets a degree in law to then go do police work?! How much more of the sanctimony and inflexibility of the PC and the old man must we stomach! Cancel this overrated show!
