TV show description:
This drama is about a multi-generational family who are dedicated to New York City law enforcement.
New York City’s Police Commissioner, Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck), is the head of both the police force and the Reagan family. He runs his department as diplomatically as he runs his family, even when dealing with the politics. Those same politics plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry (Len Cariou), during his stint as Chief.
A widowed father of three boys and a girl, Frank’s essentially a blue-collar guy who’s worked his way up through the ranks. It hasn’t been an easy journey, particularly because he lost his eldest son in the line of duty.
Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) is the oldest surviving Reagan son and a seasoned detective. He’s married, the father of two kids, and a hot-tempered Iraqi War vet who occasionally uses dubious tactics to solve cases.
The sole woman in the Reagan family is Erin Reagan Boyle (Bridget Moynahan). She’s a New York Assistant District Attorney and a newly single parent of a teenage daughter. She also serves as the legal compass for her siblings and father. It was her mother’s wish that she and her younger brother stay in law enforcement but off the police force. She and Danny have each other’s backs but know how to push each other’s buttons too.
Jamie (Will Estes) is the youngest Reagan, fresh out of Harvard Law and the family’s “golden boy.” Unable to deny the family tradition, Jamie decided to give up a lucrative future in law and is now a rookie cop, much to the chagrin of his fiancee. Things become extra complicated when he’s asked to become part of a clandestine police investigation that the rest of the family knows nothing about — something that could impact the family’s legacy forever.

What do you think? Do you like the Blue Bloods TV show? Do you think it should be ending or renewed for a 17th season on CBS?
Now that Jamie is marrying his partner hopefully he will get a bigger part of the show. I’ve always felt that he was playing second fiddle to Danny Reagan when I think he might even be the better actor. This is without a doubt my favorite show of any on TV.
I am SO HAPPY that Blue Bloods is being renewed! It is definitely one of my favorite shows.
This is my favorite show of all times!!!! The whole cast and crew was perfectly picked. I can’t rave enough about this TV show. It covers and focuses on every issue with society this day and time and still promoting family values, strength and guidance. I honestly hope this show never ends.
Oh! Just another note.
On Friday nights at 10PM all cell phones,
laptops, house phones are turned off
Any water, snacks, refreshments are gotten before hand. I am not moving from my seat doting this hour of Blue Bloods. I know it may seem extreme, but heck, it’s my house I can make the rules.
I love the show Blue Bloods I work in New York City and I know how hard the job of policemen & women is, but this show has been such insight to more then just the work they do but also the effect on their families I have such respect for the police that I always go up to them to thank them for their protection. I am very happy the station renewed the show for the 9th season. I hope the show gets renewed for many more seasons. There is definitely not a lack of story lines in the… Read more »
’bout time Jamie and Eddie got it together. The way it was introduced was pure genius. Again: ’bout time. Thank you.
This is a one of kind show, it shows family in all aspects of daily life and the head of the family is respected. This is my all time show, even watch reruns of it, there is NO other show of this kind out there and so I hope to see this show for another dozen years……love the entire cast and have had a crush on TS since his Hawaiian days. Please do not change this show, it is NOT broken and I love the dinning room scenes for they make me feel part of a family I wish I… Read more »
I love blue bloods it’s a show that needs to keep running I am not happy with Linda’s dismissal it actually made me cry but I love this show I don’t look at it on CBS because I have the amazon box so I just thought I should vote for the show because most likely you are only goin by those views but there is a lot of people viewing and can you kindly find a way to bring back Linda my family and I look at this show every week we even went back to the first episode killing… Read more »
This show has it all. Great storyline, great characters. They make you feel like they are a real family. I enjoy seeing them all sitting around the dining room table enjoying dinner & each other.
Blue bloods is very entertaining and should definitely be renewed. It was sad seeing Linda’s character written out…why couldn’t her character stayed on the show with a different actress.? Of course I would have preferred the original character but it’s my understanding g she wanted to quit. I just wish her role could have been recast.
This is the only drama of its kind. Refreshing in its focus on ethics–badly needed on TV–superb screen play and characters. My two granddaughters watch it and ask: why can’t there be more shows like this. Many programs are just violence and gore. The scenes at the family dining table exemplifies good family gatherings. Today’ problem–lack of family cohesion and respect. Thank you!!
Always love to see Tom Selleck in any program. Blue Bloods is a favorite, always exciting! Keep it coming!
Blue Bloods is one of the best shows ever created. Its as close to what a catholic cop family is about and 89% of what happens in the show is accurate within the NYPD
How can you let Linda leave? She belongs with the family. we are all so dissapointed. I lve this show, but we need Linda back.
I hadn’t watched the show for a little while & then noticed Linda being gone. Very sad & would like to know what happened & how this will play out with Danny & the boys.
Why did Linda Leave? was it her decision , or CBS / BLUE BLOODS?
She wanted to leave the show to pursue other things. She is well loved and respected by the cast and crew.
