Most actors never have a successful TV series while Mayim Bialik has starred in two — Blossom and The Big Bang Theory. Will her latest sitcom, Call Me Kat, also be a success in the ratings? Will this FOX show be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status Update Below.
A multi-camera comedy series, the Call Me Kat TV show is based on the British Miranda series. The sitcom stars Bialik, Swoosie Kurtz, Kyla Pratt, Cheyenne Jackson, Leslie Jordan, and Julian Gant. The story follows Kat (Bialik), a woman who struggles every day against society and her mother to prove that she can live a happy and fulfilling life — despite still being single at 39 years old. Kat’s mother, Sheila (Kurtz), views her daughter being single as her own personal failure. After leaving her job as a University of Louisville college professor, Kat spends the money her parents had set aside for her wedding to open a cat café. Working alongside Kat are Randi (Pratt) and Phil (Jordan). As Kat celebrates her independence, her single-forever plans begin to veer off-course. Her former crush and good friend, Max (Jackson), returns to town and takes a job as a bartender at the piano bar across the street and works with his friend, Carter (Gant).
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

What do you think? Do you like the Call Me Kat TV series on FOX? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
*5/11/2021 update: Call Me Kat has been renewed for a second season on FOX.
Please do not cancel. It’s endearing and one of the few shows that makes me laugh out loud. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Another ratings drop, and it’s lost more overall viewers – I don’t think we’re gonna get a 2nd season…unless the +7 makes up some of the lost viewers and demos.
How do we get to vote on the tv show Call Me Kat after we watch the show on Thursday nights
The show depends on too many sitcom cliches. The writing is lacking and doesn’t make use of its talented actors. Leslie Jordan and Swoozie Kurtz are remarkable comedic talents, but their character development is non -existent. These powerhouses, especially Swoozie Kurtz’s, are reduced to one – liners and cliches. Despite being based on a suvcessful BBC sitcom, this show isn’t hitting the mark. Changing direction by developing their characters more and improved writing without the cliches could save the show.
I sincerely hope that Call Me Kat is renewed. It is a glorious bit of fluff, pure silliness, and I love it ’cause it doesn’t try to be more.
Love it which means it will probably be canceled.
Please boost ratings so good funny too.
We love it – it’s uniquely endearing and a fun get away from all the bad things going on in the world. Please don’t cancel it – it’s my new favorite!
Terrible Show. Cancel it, don’t cancel it… I don’t care. I’ll never watch it again.
It’s a waste of talented actors!
Miranda, the show Call Me Kat is based on is fantastic. Call Me Cat is but a pale shadow of the original.
Not very good. The writing severely does not match the actors’ collective talent. Makes them appear to be lacking ability. Please cancel or get new writers.
Agreed!
Love it and everyone on it
Please cancel this horrible show. I have watched all the episodes so far and it’s terrible. Unrealistic character in kat. She sort of lopes around, craning her neck, talking to us the audience, in this boring voice, trying to conjure up miranda and its sad. I liked the british miranda..this yuck..
Please don’t take this show away, we just found it and binge watched it on the DVR. It’s fantastic and unique and so funny and adorable! We love all the cast, and Mayim is just delightful. We just told all our friends about it, and they want to see it now too. Really hoping this show gets a second chance to garner an audience. It’s soooooo good!
Do not cancell “Call Me Kat”, I look
