It looks like The Catch has failed to catch on. The ABC TV series has been cancelled after two seasons. The defacto series finale airs tonight.
Created by Kate Atkinson, Helen Gregory, and Jennifer Schuur, the drama follows a game of cat and mouse between private investigator, Alice Vaughan (Mireille Enos), and the man she loves, the elusive con artist, Benjamin Jones (Peter Krause). The cast also includes Jay Hayden, Jacky Ido, Rose Rollins, Sonya Walger, Elvy Yost, and John Simm.
Unlike Shonda Rhimes’ series that have also aired on Thursday nights, The Catch has never pulled in strong ratings. Even after extensive retooling as a romantic comedy, season two has been averaging a poor 0.68 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 3.32 million viewers, making it one of ABC‘s lowest-rated series for the 2016-2017 season.
Produced by Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers, The Catch was supposedly a favorite of ABC boss Channing Dungey. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to land the low-rated series a third season.

I really liked the show,The Catch.With the season finale,Ben and Alice parted ways .He went on a jet with Margot and his daughter to leave country but it sounded like somewhere down the Rd.they would meet back up and get back together so like there was an open door for the show to come backPlease bring it back for season 3

I really loved The Catch and wanted a third season. So sad!!!!
The Catch is one of my very favorite shows. I am shocked and disappointed there will be no Season 3. BEST rom com ever. The sexual chemistry between Kraus and Enos is palpable. The cancellation is a big mistake and really makes me question the good sense of the ABC heads. It’s moves like these that have me and many others leaving mainstream TV viewing.

Agreed!ABC has cancled a few shows I liked the last 2 years. The Family.,Time after Time and another one I cant remember the name of. A guy who couldn’t die from the 1800s. And Time after Time/3 epispdes! What the? Now they keep on Once upon a time which is bad.I tried to watch the first yr or 2 but now so dumb!That has ratings? Ugh!
