Chesapeake Shores fans can mark their calendars for the sixth and final season of the series. The return date for the drama has been set for August 14th. Season six will have 10 episodes.
Based on the novel by Sherryl Woods, the Hallmark drama follows the lives and loves of four generations of the O’Brien family. It stars Meghan Ory, Treat Williams, Diane Ladd, Robert Buckley, Barbara Niven, Laci J. Mailey, Emilie Ullerup, Brendan Penny, and Andrew Francis.
“With a top-notch ensemble cast and creative team, ‘Chesapeake Shores’ has shared stories that are relatable, poignant and unforgettable,” said Laurie Ferneau, SVP Programming, Series. “We look forward to honoring the journey viewers have been on with the O’Briens with one final, special season.”
Hallmark Channel revealed the premiere date on Twitter.

I wish Hallmark would keep the O’Brien family on the air in Chesapeake Shores.
I am very disappointed that Chesapeake Shores is canceled I fell in love with that show three years ago. It is a very wholesome show that everyone can watch!!! I love all the characters!!

Hallmark seems to have removed all the good series they’re left with nothing that’s too bad. I love Hallmark movies and the movie mysteries and all the series that they’ve canceled now Chesapeake shores another great program don’t know what they’re doing but they better shape up or they’re going to lose their viewing audience and it’s the only decent channel with decent programming that the whole family kids and young adults can watch without all this other garbage that they have on the network channels

Very sad. The lady that was going with Trace should have had a baby there are so many more stories in that show. But you guys don’t stick to the script of the books. You always have to change it. Some day you will learn. I hope I’m around to see it.
