CSI: Vegas is seeing another exit. Mel Rodriguez announced his departure only days after Jorja Fox announced her withdrawal from season two via her Twitter account, per Deadline. William Petersen opted not to return to the sequel series at the end of the first season.
Also starring Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mandeep Dhillon, and Wallace Langham, the first season revolved around an existential threat that could release thousands of convicted killers and a new team of investigators enlisted the help of CSI veterans Gil Grissom (Petersen) and Sara Sidle (Fox).
Rodriguez starred as Chief Medical Examiner Hugo Ramirez in the series, and he will not return as a series regular. He could return for a guest appearance during season two, however.

I believe any series will survive if it sticks with the original theme. If there has to be replacements and the replacements are very talented, attractive exciting and know how to make their character believable maybe their absence won’t be so noticeable. I like the new boss, she has strong personality wit, confidence and sex appeal which her character requires.I like a couple of the new characters. I was disappointed that Nick, Warrick and Katherine were written out but I’m sure there are replacements waiting in the wings. Sure hope this series survives, It has an excellent theme.
I probably will lose interest watching CSI Las Vegas if Gil is gone.
Can’t lose everyone or won’t be worth bringing it back
Will William Peterson continue with the show? He is the glue. I can’t see the show continuing without him.

CSI Vegas was too short at 10 episodes and poorly written.

Not without William Peterson. He is the glue for that program.
I’ll still watch season 2 to see what it’s like but with Grissom and Jorja Fox leaving I don’t know.
Bring back Nick Stokes.

I’ve never been much of a CSI guy but I did like the Miami series. Anyway, what’s going on here? Why are people leaving?
As others have mentioned – the ratings are terrible. I think
everyone is trying to get out while they still can.

I was thinking the same thing. The ratings were at the bottom of CBS’ lineup. Losing Gil and Sarah is probably going to hurt. At this point, I’d be surprised if there’s a season 3.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they canceled Season 2.
