What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the ABC television network, Dancing with the Stars is hosted by Tyra Banks, with Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba as returning judges. Six-time champion Derek Hough is new to the judges’ panel this season, replacing Len Goodman (who will appear remotely, from the UK). Celebrities competing in cycle 29 are Monica Aldama, Carole Baskin, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Vernon Davis, Anne Heche, Skai Jackson, Justina Machado, AJ McLean, Jeannie Mai, Jesse Metcalfe, Nelly, Nev Schulman, Charles Oakley, Chrishell Stause, and Johnny Weir. Professional dancers include Brandon Armstrong, Alan Bersten, Sharna Burgess, Cheryl Burke, Artem Chigvintsev, Val Chmerkovskiy, Sasha Farber, Jenna Johnson, Daniella Karagach, Keo Motsepe, Peta Murgatroyd, Pasha Pashkov, Gleb Savchenko, Emma Slater, and Britt Stewart.
Season 29 Ratings
The 29th season of Dancing with the Stars averaged a 0.95 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.19 million viewers. Compared to season 28, that’s up by 10% in the demo and down by 8% in viewership. Find out how Dancing with the Stars stacks up against other ABC TV shows.

Will ABC cancel or renew Dancing with the Stars for season 30? This is an unusual season to be sure but, even if the ratings dip much lower than usual, I believe the series will still be renewed for a 30th anniversary season. Will Banks return? I have heard about series going out on top, but don’t see why there was any reason to change DWTS yet, as popular as it was. I have nothing against Tyra Banks, and I loved her on AGT. I just don’t like her as well as Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews.
If cancelled then that would be sad. Remove Tyra if you want people to start watching.
Not watching anymore this season. Been watching faithfully 10 years. Bring back Tom & Erin if you want me back!
If it gets renewed I hope they bring back Tom and Erin Tyra is awful I stopped watching right after the premier.
Tyra is a horrible host!! So sad to watch a favorite show for so many years go in the gutter. I hope it will be renewed if only with another HOST like Tom Bergeron (miss his humor). Thankful for the ability to record the show so I can fast forward through Tyra, she is terrible. I do not know what ABC was thinking when they replaced Tom Bergeron with Tyra the Terrible.
If Tyra Banks doesn’t kill the Dancing With The Stars show and it manages to get renewed I might come back to the show if Tyra has been replaced. From the beginning of the show she acted like she was on the runway always trying to outshine the dancers costumes. Don’t like the shorter dances.
Dancing With The Stars is my very favorite TV show. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t cancel it! I would be deeply disappointed to lose it. I also adore Tom Bergeron and miss him a lot. He’s charismatic and wonderfully funny. I would love it if he returned. Thank you!
I would like to be able to vote. The fan in California are not given the opportunity to vote like they have had in the past seasons… what’s that all about. It isn’t fair.
I think that this season it is giving very little time for judges to comment and given more time to Tyra to comment and I would like to see it reverse her questions are not and interesting than the judges
No more DWTS. CANCEL IT BEFORE IT DIES A HORRIBLE DEATH. TOM B was the best host. Tyra is boring and it is all about her! Cancel the show and move on!
Unless they bring back the original hosts and judges,my family will not watch it anymore, we have watched they whole run of the show except this season. If it ain’t broke…….!!!!!!!
Please change the hostess. Tyra a adds NOTHING to the show. She is a BIG distraction. This is not the Tyra Banks fashion show or the Tyra Banks show. Her comments are not funny. She tries to act cute, but she is not cute, just annoying. She is pulling the show down. A big mistake was made to put her in that position. She may just ruin the entire season.

Tyra doesn’t have the humor and pizzazz of Tom Bergeron. I tuned-in to watch in order to give the show a chance, but I will no longer be watching.
